Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI applications using Python, LangGraph, LangChain, and Azure AI services Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions including embeddings, vector search, indexing, retrieval, and grounding Develop backend services, REST APIs, and scalable microservices using Python, Flask, FastAPI, .NET Core, and C# Design and implement multi-agent systems, prompt orchestration, memory architectures, and AI workflow automation Deploy and manage applications on Azure services including AKS, App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, and Event Hubs Establish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and observability best practices Identify production and non-production issues and optimize applications for scalability, performance, reliability, and cloud cost efficiency Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of software engineering experience Solid hands-on experience in Python, Flask, FastAPI, REST API development, and microservices architecture Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, and LLM-based application development Solid experience designing and implementing RAG solutions, vector databases, embedding pipelines, and semantic search Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB and MongoDB Solid experience in Azure/AWS application development, infrastructure, networking, monitoring, and troubleshooting Knowledge of Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration, and cloud-native application development Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions Knowledge of MLOps, AI application lifecycle management, and model monitoring Understanding of application security, CodeQL, and Azure/AWS security best practices At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
