What You Need to Succeed • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading engineering teams responsible for both software delivery and production operations. • Experience guiding teams through complex production incidents and supporting effective root cause analysis and long-term improvements. • Strong technical background across distributed systems, databases, integrations, and cloud-based applications. • Experience managing incident response processes and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders during customer-impacting events. • Ability to assess production issues effectively, communicate clearly during complex situations, and help teams work toward resolution. • Experience improving operational metrics such as availability, reliability, MTTR, and incident reduction. • Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, service ownership, and operational support practices. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to engineering teams, business stakeholders, executives, and customer-facing teams. • Experience balancing feature delivery, technical debt reduction, operational improvements, and long-term platform investments. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with healthcare data workflows, document delivery platforms, records management systems, or healthcare interoperability solutions. • Experience supporting customer-facing, business-critical platforms in regulated environments. • Experience working across both legacy systems and modern cloud-native architectures. • Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams. • Familiarity with reliability engineering, SRE practices, and modern operational excellence frameworks.
