Software Engr II

Engines & Power Systems provides the propulsion, auxiliary power and electrical systems that keep aircraft flying. With engines across roughly 120 aircraft types and more than 47,000 APUs in service today, we support operators across commercial and defense markets — backed by an aftermarket network built for the long service life of every platform we power. This position is responsible for product development, support and improvement of new or existing application programs with moderate complexity. Specific duties include Analysis, estimation, developing, testing and releasing of program enhancements Job Expectations 4-6 years of experience in development and testing software applications Good understanding of SDLC knowledge and hands on experience 4 years of strong programming skills Should have software development experience in minimum 2 projects Develop Application for navigation database coding Migrate Oracle Forms Application to Java Springboot and ReactJS web Fix UAT Bugs in React JS web Application Ensure secure coding practices in Application migration, in line with Honeywell Aerospace cybersecurity standards Maintain and enhance the web application change request as per Engineering and stakeholder team requirements Develop Test Automation tools for Java Applications. Assists managers in the delivery of technical services by understanding design, scope, deliverables, schedule, risk mitigation. Awareness of Software development life cycle and research mindset Strong interest and passion to work with multidimensional objectives and is energetic and ambitious Thrive in a challenging work environment and can work on local or overseas assignments when required Demonstrate excellent communication skills Have flair to excel in delivery commitments Self-aware and quick learner Good database fundamentals and strong in data structures and algorithms Collaborate and work effectively with global teams Capable of demonstrating strong accountability of tasks Aware of CMMi Level 5 process and drive CMMi Level 5 practices Having Aerospace domain experience is advantage Knowledge of DO200B is advantage Working experience in Agile development methodology. Skills Requirement: Good working experience in Database and Web Applications. Good experience in PL/SQL and Oracle. Proficient in Packages, Procedures, Triggers. Proficient in Java Springboot. Proficient in Beans, Controllers and Interfaces. Proficient in React Applications Development. Experience in Typescript, Javascript, HTML5/CSS is required. Good working Experience in Cybersecurity. Experience in Coverity and BDH Scans, Issue fixes. Experience in Pen Testing and issue fixes. Experience in AI/Gen AI with proven results will be an added advantage. Hands on experience in Llama, Streamlit, TensorFlow, Hugging Face and LangChain. Experience in Test Automation tools for Java Applications. Experience in Selenium webdriver is required. Good working knowledge of user experience and user interface design Strong at requirement management Must have worked on the entire SDLC project development activities Strong at Configuration Management. Good partner and customer communication to provide customer support across the globe Rapid application prototyping skills Domain Knowledge (Aerospace and databases) Process Knowledge (CMMI / ISO / Agile / Lean processes) Knowledge of Standards (DO-200B, ARINC 424) Software Build and Release activities Good working knowledge in Analysis, developing, testing and releasing Must be a good team player Creative, outgoing and strong technical skills are required Strong written and oral communication skills are required Should ensure responsiveness to customers, team and management
