Minimum level of education: Level 7. Minimum English language skills: B2. Minimum IT relevant experience: 8 years (5 years in relevant positions). Award Criteria: 50% Price / 50% Quality. Minimum required scoring for interview: 60%. Travel expenses: Only in exceptional cases (1.200€ x 3 years + 1.800€ 4th year). Rate: Flexible. The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the European public grading system. Required technical certificates: At least 2 certifications are required among: · Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent. · Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent. · Red Hat® Certified Architect (RHCA) or equivalent. · Each equivalent certification must be recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority). Knowledge and Skills · Knowledge in software architecture design for complex, distributed systems. · Proven experience designing enterprise-scale and cloud-native architectures. · Hands-on experience with backend and/or frontend development (e.g. .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript). · Strong DevSecOps knowledge including CI/CD strategy and platform design, container, orchestration, and platform engineering concepts. · Recognized technical leader with experience influencing teams without direct authority. · Ability to define and communicate architecture vision and technical strategies. · Ability to evaluate technical risk and make high-impact decisions. · Experience in mentoring senior engineers, development leads, technical leaders and architects. · Presents excellent communication skills. · Holds ability to document effectively. · Presents problem solving skills. · Presents leadership skills. Specific Expertise · Strong understanding of architecture styles · Advance knowledge of Microsoft Azure services · Experience in modeliing systems in ArchiMate notation. Tasks and Responsibilities · Provide consultations in software engineering areas. · Acting as a trusted technical advisor. · Design software development lifecycle and processes. · Recommend decisions and review end-to-end software solution architecture for complex projects. · Own and evolve the engineering vision across the software factory. · Define architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices. · Ensure consistency and alignment of architectures across enterprise. Travel: By default, travelling in the interest of service is not foreseen for this position/profile. · Nevertheless, Frontex may exceptionally request to carry out some services at other locations than Frontex Headquarters or other Contracting Authority’s premises.
