Position Summary BYDREC is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our client’s team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of web/SaaS and mobile applications. This is a manual-testing-first role for a technically capable QA professional who is comfortable working across functional, exploratory, regression, and integration testing, while also using Python for test scripts, data validation, and automation . The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable investigating complex issues, and able to clearly document and communicate defects. Experience using modern AI coding tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar agentic coding tools is required . Responsibilities Perform hands-on manual testing of web, SaaS, and mobile applications. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing. Reproduce, investigate, and document software defects with clear and actionable details. Validate application behavior across different environments and use cases. Write and maintain Python scripts for test automation, data validation, and other QA activities. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues. Support automation efforts and contribute to improving testing efficiency and coverage. Use API testing tools and technologies to validate backend services and integrations. Analyze test results and communicate findings effectively. Leverage AI-powered coding and development tools to improve testing, scripting, and automation workflows. Qualifications Required: Hands-on experience in manual software testing , particularly with web/SaaS and mobile applications. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices. Experience with: Test planning Functional testing Regression testing Exploratory testing Bug reproduction Defect reporting and documentation Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or data validation. Experience working with or understanding REST APIs . Experience with agentic coding / AI-powered development tools , such as Claude, Codex, or similar technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively. Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency. English proficiency B2+ or C1 Nice to Have: Experience with any of the following tools or technologies: Robot Framework Playwright Selenium Postman SQL JIRA Confluence TestRail Mailosaur Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is strong in manual testing first , but who also has enough technical depth to work with automation, scripting, APIs, and data validation. The ideal candidate doesn't need to be an expert automation engineer or Python developer. Instead, they should be comfortable getting hands-on with technical testing challenges, writing practical scripts, learning new tools, and using AI-assisted coding tools to increase their productivity.
