Is this job info correct?

Work Environment Remote role, based full time in Romania. Payments & Contract derails Min 1 year Contract B2B SRL required (mandatory) Monthly Contract rates Paid in Euro end of each month Visa Regrettably, we are unable to offer visa or work permit sponsorship for Romania. About us: Deciphex is a digital pathology company building AI-driven diagnostic and research software in a regulated environment (GLP, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, EU MDR). We are looking for an experienced Manual Test Engineer to join our test engineering team, working across our Patholytix and Diagnexia products. Our two core products are: Patholytix our research pathology platform used by pharma and CROs to streamline and scale preclinical study workflows. This is where you will spend the majority of your time. Diagnexia is our clinical diagnostic platform, supporting pathologists with AI-assisted image analysis and decision support in a regulated clinical environment. You’ll also work on this as needed. You will be dedicated to one or the other. Our products span both a modern web-based product, and on-premise components. The web front end is JavaScript. The on-premises components include a C# and C++ and a Java application, all of which require continued support and testing. How We Work Our QA team is involved from the moment items enter the backlog. You sit in requirements sessions, analyse functional specifications, design test cases, and carry those cases through to execution and defect management. You are never handed a finished product and asked to find bugs. Instead you’re part of shaping what good looks like right from the start. We are agile in our sprint cycles We expect n agile mindset: comfortable with changing priorities, able to work with incomplete requirements And skilled at risk-based decisions as deadlines are always tight. What This Role Is Not We want to be honest with you upfront, because the right fit matters. Manual testing is 95% percent of this role . If that does not excite you, this is not the right fit. If you need a calm, structured environment and a clear task list to do your best work, our pace will frustrate you. If quality is not something you advocate for across the business, you’ll ft in Role overview You will own manual testing activities across the full test life cycle — from test analysis and design through execution, defect management and test closure. You should be comfortable operating end-to-end within the software development life cycle, from initiation through to release, And able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, quality-focused team. Key Responsibilities Perform test analysis, design and planning based on requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria. Execute functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing across web-based applications. Manage the full defect life cycle — logging, triage, prioritisation, verification and closure — with clear, reproducible reporting. Contribute to test closure activities, including coverage assessment, exit-criteria evaluation and test summary reporting. Support incident investigation and analysis, working with development and product teams to understand root cause and prevent recurrence. Collaborate throughout the SDLC — participating in refinement, planning and release activities — to surface risk and quality concerns early. Work alongside automation engineers, providing input to automation coverage and interpreting automated test results. Maintain traceability and test documentation to the standard expected in a regulated environment. Technology Stack: Web front end: JavaScript, React On-premise: Java , C#, C++, API testing: Postman, REST API (with degrees of complexity) Project management: Jira AI tooling: Cursor, Agentic AI workflows Skills & Experience: Approximately 5 years of experience in software testing Experience in the full test life cycle from analysis to closure. Solid understanding of the end-to-end SDLC, from initiation through release. Strong hands-on experience in defect management and familiarity with incident handling and analysis. Practical exposure to test automation and an understanding of how automated testing fits into the overall test strategy. Experience testing web applications, including browser testing, API testing (e.g. Postman) and use of browser developer tools. Proficiency with a test/defect management process. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication. Advantageous Experience: Experience working in a regulated domain (medical devices, GLP, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 or similar). Exposure to Playwright or another modern automation framework. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration into release workflows. ISTQB certification or equivalent. Values: What We Look For Beyond Technical Skills: Technical ability gets you in the room. How you work determines whether you're hired & thrive here. Below qualities are assessed at every interview stage. They carry equal weight to your technical skills. Ownership: You follow through, raise issues, and see things to resolution. Completing the task is your baseline, not your finish line. Proactivity: You flag risks and refine approaches before being asked. Inquisitiveness: You are curious about the product, the system, and the patient impact behind it. Adaptability: You make good calls when requirements are unclear and priorities shift. You find a way forward without having to be told. Advocacy: You bring a quality mindset into every conversation, not just the test phase. Root cause thinking: Yes finding the bug matters. Understanding why it happened, matters more. Stay steady under pressure/ regular change: make sound decisions with incomplete information, and adapt quickly when priorities shift without losing sight of quality. What are the benefits of working with Deciphex? A true sense of meaning in your work by contributing to better patient outcomes The opportunity to work alongside a high-performing team in a fast-growth company with real momentum Challenging, unique projects at the intersection of AI, pathology, and regulated software Regular performance feedback and significant career development opportunities Flexible remote working with autonomy to manage your own work-life balance A highly collaborative, multicultural team spread across Europe and North America More on us; Through the work that we do, the team at Deciphex helps pharma accelerate essential drug development and helps patients receive timely and accurate diagnosis.
