Job Description FUNCTION: Supports the fraud portfolio through architecting and designing comprehensive solutions to meet product needs. Works collaboratively with other Solution Architects to assist in the creation of solutions that align to architecture standards and principles, leveraging common solutions and services, while meeting financial targets. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively participate and collaborate on the design, building, testing and deployment of technology solutions and designs with the assigned Agile teams. Collaborate with domain leadership and enterprise architects to understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding solution designs. Assist domain decision-making by working with domain subject matter experts to articulate the value and tradeoffs of the solution options. Participate in the creation of enterprise architecture standards and evaluate the quality and compliance of delivered solutions to ensure alignment with those standards. Collaborate with stakeholders on initiatives in Agile team ceremonies. Produce, enhance, and refine conceptual, logical, and physical solution architecture for strategic initiatives that align with Enterprise Architecture principles and vision. Contribute to the research and identification of potential impacts of existing, new, and emerging technologies and trends within a domain. Participate in governance activities as required. Objectively contribute to the evaluation and resolution of domain specific architecture problems in partnership with domain subject matter experts. Assist other enterprise and solution architects to manage and design architecture for dependent products. Harness existing technology resources through collaboration to benefit solutioning efforts. Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. Knowledge of End-to-End Fraud Domain Architecture. Experienced in real time fraud screening of deposit, check, online, account onboarding, payments (Zelle, RTP, Billpay), debit card, credit card, ACH, IVR/Contact Center, wire, identity and employee fraud in order to reduce fraud while improving the customer experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 year's higher education and/or relevant work experience Experience with multiple programming languages Ability to work and communicate with various stakeholders at differing levels of the organization Experience in software or service engineering and delivery Ability to research and apply modern technology trends related to technology initiatives Ability to research, evaluate and articulate multiple approaches to solving technical problems Experience in developing and integrating applications using relevant software architecture principles and patterns Experienced in supporting AML/BSA applications including KYC, AML, CCD, Large Currency Reporting, etc. Experienced working with real time scoring engines including Actimize, Falcon, Mitek, Pindrop, and VISA Fraud Products. Experienced in creating AI/ML models supporting Fraud Detection, Fraud Prevention and Case Management with the ability to detail what is needed from training to production implementation. Understand architecture for Fraud Prevention, Detection and Claims Management and use of orchestration tools to share events, data, and feedback loops. Experienced in ArchiMate modeling utilizing Bizzdesign Enterprise Studio. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Graduate degree in technical discipline Experience working in two or more technical roles related to banking technical design Experience in delivering technology and enterprise level presentations Experience working in an Agile environment Industry recognized certification in programming languages and/or cloud technologies Experience working in the financial services industry We support our team members with generous benefits.
