Responsibilities

Operating as the client's dedicated DX partner, the company closely supports their journey by identifying business challenges, uncovering the true root causes that often go unnoticed, formulating hypotheses to transform abstract problems into concrete strategies, and defining actionable solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing the software architecture tailored to resolve these challenges and driving its technical implementation.

Specifically:

■ Requirement Definition & Management

・Evaluate and execute the optimal project delivery approach (Agile, Waterfall, or a hybrid model) tailored to the specific context of each client.

・Deeply analyze the client's business landscape to elicit, define, and document comprehensive technical requirements, while ensuring clear requirement traceability and non-functional requirement specifications.

・Establish clear project boundaries, manage backlog prioritization, and navigate competing priorities or conflicting stakeholder interests to reach a consensus.

・Deliver constructive, proactive proposals and foster active participation from all stakeholders to facilitate smooth, unhindered project momentum.

■ Solution Architecture

・Design future-proof, high-level architectures aligned with the client’s long-term business goals, communicating these designs effectively to steer downstream development teams toward smooth implementation.

・Clearly define building strategies (custom development vs. cloud infrastructure vs. third-party integrations) that encompass not just the tech stack, but also business processes, organization, and operating models.

・Evaluate alternative architectural options against critical engineering trade-offs, balancing infrastructure cost, operational performance, and scalability.

・Provide comprehensive technical blueprints that align with organizational strategies, security policies, and standard practices to ensure seamless backward and forward compatibility.

■ Software Design

・Define software scopes, system components, and interaction points (such as APIs and user interfaces) based on core business requirements.

・Facilitate system design processes under rigorous architectural constraints—focusing heavily on scalability, security standards, performance quality, and long-term maintainability.

・Analyze alternative design patterns and balance their structural trade-offs.

・Leverage iterative prototyping and simulations to visualize decision-making paths and align stakeholder expectations.

■ Engineering & Quality Assurance Processes

・Investigate the technical feasibility of individual features through the lens of the broader architecture, establishing engineering guidelines and code patterns to streamline the core implementation phase.

・Design holistic software processes that look beyond mere coding, structuring comprehensive QA test planning and DevOps-driven operational maintenance strategies to optimize the entire service lifecycle.

Required

Experience in requirements definition, basic design, and detailed design

3+ years of experience developing web and mobile systems using modern technologies

Experience producing deliverables such as API designs, screen designs, and database designs

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make proposals

Able to switch between thinking in concrete terms and abstract terms—or vice versa—when approaching system design

Preferred

Experience in developing services for consumers (C-side)

Experience in quality management, including test design, planning, and operational maintenance

*English language proficiency is not required. The company has established an operational environment where all duties can be fully executed and completed solely in Japanese.
