Solutions Architect I/II

Nightingale Education Group

🇺🇸United States🏠Remote💰$130.0K–$165.0K📁Engineering & Development
Is this job info correct?

We're hiring for this role at either the Architect I ($130k-144k) or Architect II ($151k-165k) level, depending on the experience and independence a candidate brings. Level differences are outlined below. About the Role Nightingale College is looking for a Solutions Architect who thinks in systems, builds with AI, and owns a problem from the first conversation all the way to production. This isn't a traditional developer role — you won't be handed a spec and told to code it. You'll talk directly with the people who have the problem, design a solution that actually fits, and use AI-native tools as your primary build engine to bring it to life. If you're energized by eliminating the gap between "here's what we need" and "here's a working solution," this role was built for you. What You'll Do Engage directly with end-users and stakeholders to understand problems, surface requirements, and define what success looks like. Design solution architectures that are practical, scalable, and grounded in real business needs. Build and iterate on solutions using AI-native development tools and workflows. Own your solution from first conversation through production deployment. Continuously shrink the time between spotting a problem and shipping working software. Spot opportunities to improve existing systems and workflows through AI-enabled solutions. What You Bring Experience in a solutions, technical, product, or systems role (see level breakdown below). A demonstrated ability to build working solutions using AI-native tools — this is required in place of a formal degree. Comfort listening first and building second: you gather requirements by asking questions, not assuming answers. A systems-thinking mindset — you see the whole problem, not just the immediate ask. An iterative approach: you ship early, gather feedback, and improve fast. Strong communication skills that bridge business needs and technical reality. Relevant cloud, data, or AI platform certifications are a plus, though not required. Level Differences: Architect I Architect II Scope Assigned, well-defined problems Moderately complex, cross-functional problems Autonomy Guided Independent, with check-ins Day-to-Day Works on clearly scoped problems under close guidance; participates in user conversations with support from senior team members Independently gathers requirements through direct end-user engagement; manages full delivery cycle with limited oversight; identifies gaps and proposes improvements; contributes to team standards and shares learnings Minimum Qualifications by Level: Architect I Architect II Experience 0–2 years in a solutions, technical, product, or systems role 2–4 years in a solutions, technical, product, or systems role AI-Building Track Record Demonstrated ability to build working solutions with AI-native tools Proven track record of delivering AI-built solutions end-to-end What We're Not Looking For Traditional developers who just use AI to write code faster. Specialists who design but don't build, or build but don't design. Someone who needs a fully-scoped spec before they can start. Why Nightingale Nightingale College is a high-impact community, not just a workplace. We believe the future of software delivery belongs to people who can think in systems, talk to humans, and build with AI — all in the same motion. This is a remote role with flexibility, built around core collaboration hours in Mountain Time, with travel required just once a year. If you want to build things that matter and grow your craft while doing it, we'd love to talk. Budgeted Hiring Range $130,000 — $165,000 USD All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will cover travel, lodging, and other accommodations. Nightingale’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected both in our learners and collaborators because we believe the best outcomes for learners from underserved and diverse populations are achieved through collaborators with similar backgrounds and cultures. Nightingale Education Group is an equal opportunity employer. Our Mission (not just words on the wall, we live it, love it, and daily contribute to it) : With the primary focus on higher learning in healthcare professions, Nightingale Education Group contributes to elevating education, health, and employment systems through facilitation of academic achievement, personal growth, and professional development of its learners, alumni, and collaborators, while serving diverse communities. At Nightingale Education Group, our Innovative Education model helps transform rural health landscapes through our blended-distance learning platform. Every person involved with Nightingale Education Group helps to change the lives of our learners, our communities, and ultimately the world by adding to the quality of healthcare. We are proud to have graduated nearly 5,000 nurses serving communities in need. We are serious about our outcomes and have a little bit of fun getting there. The professional and personal development of our learners and our collaborators is our company’s foundation. Not only do we develop strategies that promote a positive work-life integration, but we also create an environment that invites you to become an expert in your field, be it through higher education or professional development. Put simply, we elevate employment, elevate health, and elevate education. We’re so happy that you’ve found us! Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
