As a Solutions Engineer at OneArc, you are the technical bridge between our simulation technology and our customers' mission-critical objectives. You will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding military, government, and industry clients from the initial demonstration phase through to the design and delivery of robust, impactful solutions. In this role, you will partner closely with our Business Development, Engineering, and Product teams to translate complex needs into actionable technical designs. This is a mid-level position; the successful candidate would be paired with more experienced SEs on moderately complex solutions engineering tasks. The successful candidate should demonstrate some, if not all, of the Key Areas of Responsibility, Objectives, Skills, Education and Experience, and Additional Attributes to an adequate standard. Key Areas Of Responsibility Client Interaction: Able to engage directly with industry and military clients to understand and gather training and technical requirements and showcase the functionality of existing OneArc products. Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of OneArc’s products, services and integrated solutions. Understands the customer's needs and translates them into comprehensive technical solutions. Communication: Facilitating clear and effective technical and commercially minded communication between the customer and internal teams, including sales, engineering, finance, executives and product management. Requirements Gathering: Collaborates with customers to gather and understand their technical requirements and designs compelling and competitive solutions. Ensures that OneArc's solutions meet or exceed those requirements and that all stakeholders in OneArc (Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Product Management) have an agreed understanding of the solution. Solutions Design: Designs and presents technical solutions, conducts product demonstrations, and collaborates with the sales team to ensure the proposed solution meets client requirements. Commercial Awareness: Essential for effectively aligning technical solutions with the specific needs and objectives/constraints/realities of both OneArc’s and the customer’s businesses in an actionable, deliverable, and realistic schedule that maximizes cash flow. Writing: Possess strong writing skills to succinctly and articulately describe OneArc’s technical solutions, benefits, and commercials within proposals and presentations (internal and external) Organized: Are highly organized and operate at high levels of efficiency to ensure the continuous management of multiple opportunity responses that require varied outputs. Implementation Support: Involved in the initial design, implementation, and acceptance stages. Technical Leadership: This role works with internal teams to ensure successful delivery during pre-sales.Typically, it takes a leadership role in technical decision-making, guides development teams, and ensures that the architecture meets performance, scalability, and security requirements. Skills and Education Degree level or above in numerate, physics or computer science field or or equivalent work experience Experience in simulation technology (hardware and software). Customer requirements management. Experience in solutions architecture and systems engineering principles. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software. Detailed knowledge of software development process and principles. Experience in the defense simulation industry would be beneficial. Practical use of VBS or other COTS simulation software applications in military simulation would be beneficial. International and domestic travel will be required for this position.
