As a Bilingual (Spanish) Patient Engagement Specialist , you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their medication journey. You’ll act as a trusted liaison between patients, pharmacists, clinicians, payors, and health system partners—ensuring timely refills, resolving pharmacy claims issues, and delivering compassionate, high-quality service in both English and Spanish . This is a fully remote pharmacy role ideal for professionals who are detail-oriented, empathetic, technologically savvy, and motivated by meaningful patient impact. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll manage both inbound and outbound pharmacy communications , support medication adherence, and help remove access barriers for patients across diverse populations. Core Responsibilities 📞 Handle inbound pharmacy calls and conduct proactive outbound refill and engagement calls in English and Spanish ✅ Educate and guide patients through the end-to-end medication refill process 💊 Coordinate prescription refills, including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication 🔍 Perform prescription status checks and resolve adjudication or coverage issues 🤝 Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, clinicians, payors, and internal support teams 🧾 Communicate with pharmacists and clinicians to clarify prescriptions and resolve discrepancies ❄️ Identify medications requiring special handling (e.g., refrigerated or hazardous) and ensure proper protocols 📊 Accurately document and maintain patient, prescription, and communication records across multiple systems 📈 Identify repeat issues and trends, escalating opportunities for workflow or process improvement 🔒 Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards 🧠 Participate in ongoing training, quality assurance activities, and professional development ⏰ Maintain schedule flexibility to support health system partner needs • 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday between 7:00am–7:00pm EST • Occasional weekends as needed Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business and patient care needs evolve.
