SPECIALIST, ATHLETE SUPPORT & PARTNERSHIPS, GAME PLAN Be part of building a national brand. We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada’s involvement in the Olympic Movement, including the participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games. The Canadian Olympic Committee is looking for a Specialist, Athlete Support & Partnerships, Game Plan. Reporting to the Manager, Strategy & Experience, Game Plan, the Specialist, Athlete Support & Partnerships leads day-to-day programs, service and resource delivery, including partner coordination and operational execution, under the leadership of the Manager. Game Plan is Canada’s holistic athlete-support network. Its nationwide team of world-class experts and specialized advisors empower national athletes with practical ways to live healthy, balanced, and personally successful lives at every stage of their journey. Game Plan’s growth-centred programs, structured services, and everyday resources are custom designed to support the total well-being of every individual athlete. Established in 2015, Game Plan is a globally leading initiative which functions in collaboration with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC), Sport Canada and the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network (COPSIN). The Specialist requires creativity, superior project management abilities, excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, leadership and an entrepreneurial attitude. LOCATION This position will be located in one of the COC’s offices (Montréal, QC, at 500 René-Lévesque Boulevard West; or in Toronto, ON at 250 Yonge St. Suite 3000). We offer a hybrid work model that allows for up to two days of remote work each week. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES Partnerships and Network Coordination Manage the day-to-day delivery of Game Plan programs, services, and resources (e.g., Success Beyond Sport, 4 Chemins, Athlete Education Bursary as a few examples), ensuring quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. Manage relationships across the Game Plan network, including key collaborators, partners, subject matter experts and Game Plan Advisors to support the successful delivery of programs, services and resources. Oversee and support the Game Plan Advisors, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and information required to effectively support athletes. Identify gaps in the Advisor Toolkit and develop processes, resources, and tools to address evolving athlete needs. Ensure Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) principles are integrated into all Game Plan programs, services, and events. Delivery & Athlete Experience Lead the delivery of national Game Plan programs, services and events, coordinating logistics, facilitators, partners and participant experience. Review program and event applications and make recommendations based on established criteria. Monitor and track program and event budgets. Monitor program quality and participant feedback, identifying opportunities to improve the athlete and partner experience. Prepare post-event and program reports, including participant feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensure timely communication and distribution of information across the Game Plan network. Systems & Operations Manage Salesforce program administration, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop operational resources, templates and tools to support consistent delivery of Game Plan programs, services and resources. Develop, document, and continuously improve program guidelines, standard operating procedures, and repeatable processes for national Program, Services & Resources (PSR) delivery. QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS Skills and Abilities: Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills, with demonstrated experience leading multiple concurrent projects from planning through execution while meeting deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating and evaluating initiatives. Experience managing strategic partnerships and ensuring contractual obligations and service commitments are successfully delivered. Experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating diverse stakeholders, including external partners, facilitators, and service providers. Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent knowledge of the Canadian high-performance sport system. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or a comparable CRM), databases, and project management platforms. Fluency in both English and French an asset. Demonstrates and embodies the Canadian Olympic Committee values of Accountability, Excellence, Fun, Respect, and Bravery. Education and Experience: Degree in sport management, education, business or a related field 3 – 5 years related experience managing projects or programs Experience as an athlete on Canada’s Olympic, Paralympic or National Team, or working with high level athletes Sport system work or volunteer experience COMPENSATION The expected salary range for this role is $55,800 to $76,780 per year. The base pay within this range is based on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal pay equity, and market benchmarks.
