About the Role Nightingale Education Group is looking for a Specialist I/II, Funding Management to join our high-impact community. In this role, you'll help Learners navigate the sometimes-confusing world of financial aid, with a primary focus on institutional scholarships, foundation-funded scholarships, and state funding programs, advising them on federal, state, and institutional funding options so they can stay enrolled and reach graduation. Depending on experience, the selected candidate may be hired at either the Specialist I or Specialist II level. If you love solving problems, enjoy working with numbers, and want your day-to-day work to directly support students completing their degrees, this is a great fit. What You'll Do Advise Learners on eligibility and application procedures for federal, state, and institutional funding programs Serve as a resource and mentor to new hires and fellow Specialist I's Act as the Teams communications SME and second-level point of escalation Support Specialist III's with training and special projects Collaborate cross-functionally to close funding gaps for Learners Provide financial resource guidance, including scholarships and private lending options Communicate ongoing updates on gap balance funding and disbursement status Review learner documents and applications for accuracy and completeness Conduct regular audits of your portfolio to ensure funding aligns with general ledger postings Contribute to cross-functional projects as they arise What You'll Bring Some college coursework or two years of equivalent work experience (required) An associate degree in accounting or finance (strongly preferred) Experience administering institutional scholarships, foundation scholarships, state funding, or other student funding programs (preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Comfort learning new technology and navigating databases Solid math skills - ratios, percentages, and everyday calculations A growth mindset, strong sense of ownership, and a collaborative spirit How Success Is Measured Completing refresher trainings each semester, two weeks before start Response Rate Score above 95% Packaging Rate Score above 95% Overall Audit Score above 97% Our Community At Nightingale, we're more than a workplace — we're a high-impact community guided by our Core 7 Framework , which shapes why we exist, how we behave, and what impact we create together. Budgeted Hiring Range $25.54 — $26.50 USD All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah.
