Role Summary Hands-on specialist owning defined areas of Volante’s cloud, AI/ML, and enterprise security program (CSPM, SASE-aligned controls, security operations, and customer/audit engagements). Feeder role intended to grow into Information Security Manager responsibilities in ~3 years, based on performance and readiness. What You’ll Do Security Operations & Tooling (Hands‑On) Investigate and document security incidents, alerts, and findings within assigned scope Work with SIEM, endpoint, and monitoring tools to analyze security events Support vulnerability management and remediation tracking Maintain high‑quality operational and audit documentation Cloud Security & CSPM (Core Responsibility) Implement, validate, and monitor security controls in Microsoft Azure (primary) and AWS Support Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) activities, including: Secure configuration validation Misconfiguration detection and remediation support Continuous monitoring of cloud security posture Work with engineering teams to embed secure‑by‑design practices SASE & Network Security Controls Support implementation and monitoring of SASE‑aligned security controls, including: Secure access and network segmentation Traffic inspection, logging, and policy enforcement Assist with firewall, WAF, and network security reviews Support secure remote access and zero‑trust‑aligned practices AI / ML Security (Mandatory Skill Area) Support execution of Volante’s AI Security Policy, including: AI model risk assessments Security reviews of AI/ML models and data pipelines Monitoring for model drift, abuse, and security regressions Assist with AI security testing, logging, and incident handling Participate in AI security discussions with internal teams and customers Customer, Audit & Risk Engagement Participate in customer security calls, AI security discussions, and due‑diligence assessments Support audits and certifications (ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, SOC) Own evidence collection and explain controls clearly to external stakeholders Support third‑party and Nth‑party risk assessments, including AI‑related vendors Leadership & Growth Responsibilities Demonstrate ownership mindset and accountability Mentor interns or junior staff when applicable Develop communication and stakeholder‑management skills Prepare for progression into L40 / M40 roles within expected timeframe focus on outcomes vs tasks.
