Specialist International VAT (Tax)

The objective of the Specialist International VAT (Tax) is to provide expert VAT support and advice across the Group, ensuring the correct and efficient application of EU and international VAT regulations. The role will also contribute to the continuous improvement, standardization, digitalization, and automation of VAT processes across the organization.

Responsibilities

• In this position, you will provide group-wide advice on EU and international VAT issues and serve as the central contact person for our EU and non-EU entities.
• You will apply your expertise in a targeted manner to resolve complex issues in a practical and legally compliant way.
• You will actively drive the digitalization and automation of VAT processes and help shape modern workflows.
• Your duties also include carrying international input tax refund procedures for our subsidiaries, as well as administering VAT registrations for our domestic subsidiaries abroad.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of internal guidelines and tax process standards and support the accurate mapping of VAT transactions in SAP.

Profile

• Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Law with a focus on taxation.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of VAT, preferably within an international corporate group or a tax advisory firm.
• Knowledge of national and international VAT law, alongside practical experience applying it to complex business transactions.
• Strong understanding of digital processes and an interest in further developing and automating tax workflows.
• Structured and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with a high degree of personal responsibility.
• Excellent English language skills; German language skills are a strong advantage.
