The Payroll Operations Specialist supports accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across Latin America. This role works closely with employees, internal teams, and external payroll providers to make sure payroll is completed correctly, on time, and in compliance with local regulations, company policies, and applicable union or collective bargaining requirements. The role may support payroll activities in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil. Fluency in Spanish is required; English and Portuguese are a plus. The position is based in Mexico. Key Responsibilities Process and review payroll information to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Partner with payroll vendors, internal HR teams, Finance, and employees to resolve payroll questions or issues. Verify payroll data, employee changes, benefit deductions, payments, and special cases such as new hires, promotions, transfers, or terminations. Review payroll calculations, tax information, and required filings to support compliance with local laws and company standards. Research payroll discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions. Maintain accurate payroll records and protect confidential employee information. Support payroll audits, reporting requests, and process improvement activities. Communicate clearly with stakeholders and escalate issues when additional support is needed. Stay aligned with payroll timelines, deadlines, and country-specific requirements. Perform other payroll-related duties as needed. What Success Looks Like Payroll deadlines are met consistently and accurately. Employees and internal partners receive timely, helpful support. Payroll issues are researched, documented, and resolved with clear follow-up. Payroll data remains accurate, confidential, and compliant. Strong working relationships are built with vendors, employees, and internal departments. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent related experience. Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience in a medium or large organization with multiple business entities. Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems is preferred. Bilingual Spanish/intermediate English required; Portuguese a plus Desired Characteristics: Experience with payroll processing, payroll controls, reporting, and time and attendance administration. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines. Clear communication skills and a customer-service mindset when supporting employees and partners. Additional Requirements: Hybrid : This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
