Girl Guides of Canada is actively seeking a Specialist, Risk Analysis Remote working opportunity About This Opportunity Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk, the Specialist, Risk Analysis strengthens Girl Guides of Canada’s risk resilience by implementing a risk assessment system to assess, analyze and report on internal and external hazards and threats to GGC and partnering with key staff and volunteers to build and implement systems that improve risk management. This role partners closely with Finance, Programs, Property/Facilities (as applicable), IT, People & Culture, and volunteer leadership to design practical tools and processes that protect GGC’s people, assets, reputation, and mission. In this role you will: Enterprise Risk Analysis (Primary Focus) Implement and maintain systems to gather, analyze and report enterprise risk data across GGC Contribute to organizational risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities, including risk register updates and mitigation mapping Synthesize internal and external risk information into clear, actionable insights for leadership Develop dashboards and reporting tools that incorporate both leading and lagging risk indicators Support the development of heat maps, dashboards and risk reports for leadership and the board Monitor emerging risks and trends relevant to GGC’s operations Ensure risk systems are accessible, practical and effective for both staff and volunteers Work with the Digital Transformation team to integrate risk data into emerging systems and workflows Risk Systems Partnerships (Primary Focus) Partner with departments such as Finance, Member Risk, Property, and IT as well as volunteer leadership to co-design risk management systems tailored to specific operational functions Engage with diverse user groups including other staff departments and volunteers to help ensure risk systems are fit-for-purpose for a distributed, diverse organization Contribute to collaborative design sessions, workshops, and feedback loops with stakeholders to continuously improve usability, adoption, and effectiveness of risk systems Ensure that risk tools and processes reflect both enterprise-level priorities and the practical realities of frontline delivery, enabling consistent and scalable risk management across the organization Other duties as assigned. This job will evolve and take on new responsibilities within the ERM department as systems are created and new risks emerge. Requirements: Post-secondary education in Risk Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3–4 years of progressive experience in risk assessment, analytics, compliance, or research in a related field Experience developing data-driven reporting, dashboards, or analytical tools Comfort working with sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion Ethical and trustworthy. Able to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information Analytical: comfortable with data, trends, dashboards, and designing scalable assessment and analysis systems. Demonstrated research skills; competent with quantitative and qualitative analysis Communication & relationship skills: able to build trust with staff, volunteers, brokers, and insurers; strong writing and facilitation skills. Values alignment: commitment to GGC’s mission and ability to work respectfully with diverse communities and volunteers.
