SQL Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a SQL Developer to support strategic BAU IT projects focused on data quality, data management, and data governance. The role will work closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to investigate data issues, support critical data element (CDE) implementation, and translate business data quality rules into SQL logic.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve data quality issues, particularly those caused by technical field mapping and data integration issues.
• Collaborate with data engineers to configure, prepare, and load Critical Data Elements (CDEs) into data management and governance platforms.
• Analyze business data quality requirements and translate them into SQL queries, validation rules, and data checks.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts to support data quality monitoring and validation.
• Work with technical and business teams to identify data discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL programming including writing complex queries joins subqueries and performance optimized code
• Handson experience with database design normalization and schema management
• Expertise in Stored Procedures Functions Triggers Views and performance tuning
• Practical knowledge of ETL processes data extraction migration and transformation
• Experience working with RDBMS platforms such as Oracle SQL Server MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Ability to analyze slow queries and optimize indexing execution plans and database performance
• Good understanding of data modelling ER diagrams relational structures
• Experience in handling production deployments debugging issues and ensuring data integrity
• Familiarity with version control tools Git Bitbucket and Agile delivery
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams.
• 8+ yrs of relevant experience.
