As a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace - Power Systems, you will lead critical engineering projects focused on the development, production and in-service support of auxiliary power units. This role is central to driving innovation, ensuring flawless execution, and delivering solutions that meet customer needs for reliable and efficient power systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, balancing technical excellence with strong project leadership, and you’ll have the confidence to challenge assumptions and ask the right questions to ensure decisions are sound and aligned with project goals. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work out of our Mexicali site on a hybrid schedule. Own and lead advanced engineering projects for auxiliary power units (HGT1700 & HGT750 models) , ensuring alignment with business objectives. Drive execution—manage schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver results. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, sourcing) to ensure project success. Champion innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes. Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders and customers. Coordinate procurement and delivery of development hardware and support testing activities. You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline. 7+ years of experience in project engineering or similar roles. Proven ability to lead complex projects and cross-functional teams. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of auxiliary power units.
