As a senior AI/ML engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and AI applications that solve complex business problems. Design, build, and maintain AI‑powered search, summarization, and chat applications for our internal AI‑powered search and chat platform Hands‑on experience building or integrating agentic AI systems, such as multi‑step reasoning, tool‑calling, or autonomous workflows Implement information‑retrieval solutions, including vector‑based search, relevance ranking, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) Develop production‑ready AI applications in Python, integrating with AWS services Build and tune OpenSearch / Elasticsearch indexes to support semantic and keyword search use cases Evaluate, tune, and refine AI models and system performance through experimentation Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions Requirements 5+ years of overall IT or software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of recent experience working with AI or ML solutions Proven proficiency in Python Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SageMaker, Glue, S3) Hands‑on experience with OpenSearch and/or Elasticsearch Familiarity with vector databases and vector search techniques (embeddings, similarity search) Alight requires all virtual interviews to be conducted on video.
