Job Summary Summary Manages all recruitment and collection activities for the studies. Functions independently strategizing directly with the PIs. Responsible for the daily execution of principal duties and responsibilities and aspects of project management and administration including operational, budgetary, grant writing, communication, and research subject education components. Also responsible for direct supervision of all research coordinators. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Develops detailed protocol documents that meet federal institutional standards. -Ensures study design's compatibility with clinical practices. -Provides critical input as to feasibility of study design and available resources. -Ensures document consistency. -Responsible for developing/managing the clinical trial’s operating and capital budgets. Qualifications Working under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, will be responsible for the various day-to-day activities of ILD program and clinical trials team. The Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) team conducts clinical research that is funded by federal funds, corporate and foundation contributions. This is a long-standing established research program. Responsibilities include: taking the lead in ILD program staff recruitment/retention, training, and assigning equitable coverage of both NIH and pharmaceutical-sponsored studies; ensuring ILD program quality control (e.g. ILD program RAs and research fellows are adequately documenting and completing their assigned work); development and implementation of patient recruitment/retention strategies and goals; and organization and completion of IRB and regulatory documents. In addition, the candidate will track milestones, perform invoicing and track study payments.
