ABOUT THE ROLE: The Senior Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering is a senior technology leader responsible for leading Skechers’ global systems and cloud engineering groups. This leader will modernize and scale enterprise infrastructure capabilities, strengthen operational reliability, drive automation and standardization, and partner closely with IT, Cybersecurity, Product, Finance, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Operations to align infrastructure and cloud capabilities with business priorities. This role requires broad infrastructure leadership experience, deep cloud engineering expertise, and the ability to build high-performing teams that deliver secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective technology platforms in a global, matrixed environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO : Lead the enterprise infrastructure and cloud engineering strategy inclusive of cloud platforms, systems engineering, collaboration platforms, endpoints and related infrastructure services. Own the multi-cloud strategy across major hyperscalers, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle, ensuring scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective platform capabilities. Drive modernization, migration and automation of infrastructure and cloud environments to improve reliability, agility, security, and operational efficiency. Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, and enterprise infrastructure architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, compute, storage, and platform engineering capabilities. Establish infrastructure and cloud governance, standards, roadmaps, architecture patterns, lifecycle management practices, and operating models across the global enterprise. Champion operational excellence through SRE practices, SLOs, SLAs, observability, incident management, problem management, capacity planning, performance management, and continuous improvement. Oversee Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, CI/CD enablement, automation, platform reliability, and engineering practices that improve consistency and reduce operational risk. Partner with Cybersecurity to ensure infrastructure and cloud platforms align with Zero Trust principles, identity and access controls, security monitoring, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, cyber recovery, and compliance requirements. Drive FinOps practices, infrastructure cost governance, forecasting, optimization, vendor management, licensing oversight, and KPI reporting across infrastructure and cloud services. Develop talent, strengthen succession planning, and build leadership capacity across infrastructure and cloud engineering disciplines. Serve as a technology advisor to executive leadership on infrastructure investment, cloud modernization, operational risk, resiliency, cybersecurity alignment, technology lifecycle, and platform strategy. Represent Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering in enterprise governance forums, steering committees, architecture reviews, and strategic planning discussions. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, audit, privacy, and operational requirements, including SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and related enterprise controls. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: 15+ years of progressive cloud engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure engineering or related technology experience. Minimum 5 years at the Director level or above within a global, matrixed organization with accountability for enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud platforms. Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, platform engineering, reliability, automation, and operational maturity initiatives. Deep experience with major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle, with hands-on understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture. Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure domains, including compute, virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery, cyber recovery, endpoints, and collaboration platforms. Experience leading infrastructure operations and engineering teams responsible for globally distributed, business-critical platforms and services. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and align technical priorities with business outcomes. Executive presence with experience presenting infrastructure strategy, risk, investment, performance, and modernization recommendations to senior leadership and C-suite audiences. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, configuration management, and CI/CD practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms. Working knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, including SD-WAN, Zero Trust, CDN, DNS, load balancing, segmentation, and connectivity patterns across hybrid environments. Working knowledge of cloud and infrastructure security capabilities, including CSPM, CNAPP, SIEM integrations, identity and access management, encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks. Strong financial and vendor management experience, including CapEx, OpEx, budgeting, forecasting, licensing, contracts, and cost optimization. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS : Experience in retail, consumer goods, distribution, manufacturing, or global supply chain environments. Experience developing senior technical leaders and building succession plans across infrastructure, cloud, and platform engineering teams. Active certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional, VMware, ITIL, or related infrastructure and cloud certifications. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field required. Master’s degree, MBA, or MS preferred. The pay range for this role is $200,000-$260,000/yr USD.
