Due to the restricted funding for this role, the individual must reside in the Greater Seattle area or Southern California (including Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, or San Diego) for the duration of the role. This position can be home-based within these areas. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, grant-funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on 10/01/2028, with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities Responsible for leading and driving high-capacity donor and gift stewardship services and growing established relationships with donors and their representatives in collaboration with the primary donor relationship manager. Serves as a strategic project manager to ensure team’s fulfillment of grant/gift deliverables with donor happiness, recognition and engagement as the primary focus. Responsible for developing, guiding, and executing processes and activities to ensure fulfillment excellence by monitoring projects led by implementation teams, strategically customizing and finalizing donor impact reports provided by the Office of Funded Programs, evaluators, and/or implementation teams, and overseeing and working collaboratively with the Mission Advancement MarCom team and others to ensure accurate recognition throughout the life of a gift/grant. Works collaboratively and strategically with the relationship manager, implementation team, grants administrator, and others to deliver an outstanding donor experience that is intended to close contingent payments, ensure impact excellence, and lead to continued revenue. Serve as the primary point of contact for servicing a portfolio of assigned relationships with active gifts in fulfillment. Provide exceptional support to build and maintain a positive relationship between the American Heart Association and the donor. In close collaboration with the relationship manager, respond to the needs of the donor and/or project, decide which course of action to take, and implement that action with minimal consultation or direction. Monitor donor preferences; identify, evaluate, and recommend additional funding and/or engagement opportunities for donor pathing, and develop donor pathing. Lead the gap from gift award to fulfillment, including as a project manager as needed to ensure the project transitions efficiently from award notification to implementation and monitoring. Convene and brief the implementation team and the Office of Funded Programs to ensure clarity and alignment on roles, budget, deliverables, impact reporting, and donor expectations. Transition the project to the implementation and grant administration teams, ensuring smooth and effective transitions. Liaise, communicate, and drive a sense of urgency with respective team members to start the funded project on time and remain on schedule. Clear barriers and offer solutions to challenges that may arise at start-up and during the project. Customize and develop high-quality interim and final project reports, leveraging project reports provided by the implementation teams and the Office of Funded Programs to present a compelling representation of the donor’s impact made through their gift. Lead and manage donor recognition with the relationship manager, Mission Advancement, and Marketing/Communications teams. Provide vision, ensure quality production/implementation, and ensure donor expectations are exceeded. Lead project tasks in Asana project management software, ensuring regular updates to clearly and actively communicate progress. Record relationship activity and results in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. Experience with Fundraising, Donor Stewardship and/or Marketing. Decision-making ability to solve problems, while working under pressure and effectively presenting these solutions to coworkers and customers. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Five (5) years of relevant experience. Excellent time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated report writing skills. Excellent in advanced PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management systems. Experience in grant writing and grant requirements. Experience developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations to both large and small groups. Ability to establish, manage, and provide progress updates on project management plans and timelines using software tools. Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and lead teams to achieve plan objectives. Ability to travel up to 25% local and overnight stay. Compensation & Benefits Salary minimum to the midpoint of the range is $99,935.00 to $133,000.00. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply to the pay range.
