Sr Grants Coordinator Requisition ID req37513 Working Title Sr Grants Coordinator Position Grade 10 Position Summary The Department of Internal Medicine Office of Research is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sr. Grants Coordinator to support the Department's sponsored research activities. This position provides administrative and coordination support throughout the grant lifecycle, assisting faculty investigators and research teams with proposal preparation, submission tracking, award administration, and research operations. The Sr. Grants Coordinator serves as a liaison among faculty, departmental staff, collaborating institutions, and central research administration offices to facilitate timely proposal submissions and effective award management. Responsibilities include assisting with grant proposal assembly, maintaining proposal and award tracking systems, coordinating communications and deadlines, managing grant-related documentation, supporting post-award administrative activities, and assisting with departmental research initiatives and special projects. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment. This position plays an important role in supporting the Department's research mission and ensuring compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements. The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressive department with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide quality work in an organized, effective, and efficient manner through innovation, training, and education. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field. Experience supporting sponsored research administration, grants management, contracts, or research operations in a university, academic medical center, healthcare, or research environment. Experience with electronic research administration systems such as grants.gov, eRA Commons, Cayuse, InfoEd, Banner, Hyperion, or similar systems. Demonstrated experience tracking projects, managing deadlines, and maintaining complex records or databases with a high degree of accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, including the ability to prepare reports and organize data.
