Job Description As part of the Go To Market Enablement (GTME) Team, the GTME Automation Analyst will support Columbia Threadneedle Investments’ EMEA sales process by scaling data driven client and prospect engagement. You will use your marketing automation, data and email marketing expertise to design and deliver effective outbound journeys across email, webinars and event - ensuring audiences are well targeted, journeys are optimised, and data flows seamlessly to support automated follow up and lead qualification. While Salesforce Marketing Cloud will be a key platform, you will also work across our wider marketing technology and Salesforce CRM landscape, ensuring tools, data and processes operate cohesively to support lead generation and Focus Fund growth signals. Beyond delivery, you will review how data, journeys and automation are used across EMEA today. Working closely with the GTME team and business stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, optimise customer journeys and enhance sales enablement. With a longer term mindset, you will help evolve our approach to automation—shaping how emerging AI capabilities can further improve the speed, scale and effectiveness of client engagement. By automating the end to end use of data across platforms and processes, you will play a key role in strengthening transparency, improving the client experience and supporting new business growth. Key Responsibilities Marketing Automation & Campaign Delivery · Support the design, build and optimisation of automated engagement journeys across email, webinars and events. · Support lead generation and product‑led growth by ensuring campaigns are timely, relevant and data‑driven to maximise engagement and intent. · Deliver consistent, high‑quality outbound activity aligned to GTME priorities and engagement needs. Data & Audience Management · Support the enablement of how audience data is used across marketing automation - driving improved segmentation, targeting, personalisation and relevance. · Work across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM and associated platforms to ensure data flows effectively between systems and into sales processes. · Proactively identify data gaps, inefficiencies or quality issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them. Journey & Process Optimisation · Review and assess existing EMEA engagement journeys and internal processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. · Implement incremental enhancements to channel journeys, automation logic and operational workflows. · Balance short‑term delivery needs with longer‑term capability building, ensuring solutions are scalable and repeatable. Cross‑Functional Partnership · Partner closely with GTME colleagues, Sales, Marketing, Technology and Data teams to align automation activity with business outcomes. · Translate business requirements into effective automation and data solutions, challenging requests where needed to improve impact or efficiency. · Act as a connector between automation and engagement best practice within the EMEA organisation. Automation & Future Capability · Contribute to the evolution of marketing automation capability, including identifying opportunities to apply advanced automation and emerging AI use cases. · Support scalable, repeatable processes that increase speed and efficiency of client engagement and the sales process. · Help build a foundation for smarter, more predictive and insight‑led engagement over time. Key Capabilities & Experience Essential Capabilities · Strong experience in marketing automation and email marketing , with hands‑on delivery responsibility. · Proven capability using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar enterprise marketing automation platforms). · Data‑driven mindset with the ability to translate data into effective engagement strategies and journeys. · Experience working with B2B and prospect data, segmentation and automated workflows. Preferability within an Asset Management business. · Ability to analyse existing processes and journeys and drive practical, incremental improvement. Desirable Capabilities · Experience working across Salesforce CRM and broader marketing technology ecosystems. · Understanding of lead management, qualification and sales enablement processes. · Exposure to automation, process optimisation or early AI‑enabled use cases within marketing or client engagement. · Experience operating in a regulated or complex B2B environment. Personal Attributes · Analytical, structured thinker with strong attention to detail. · Curious and improvement‑focused, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working. · Comfortable working across teams, translating technical capability into business value. · Well‑organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple journeys and priorities in parallel.
