Apply Description The Why Behind Wellvana: The healthcare system isn’t designed for health. We’re designed to change that. We’re Wellvana, and we help doctors deliver life-changing healthcare. Through our elevated value-based care programs, we’re revitalizing an antiquated system that’s far too long relied on misaligned incentives that reward quantity of care not the quality of it. Our enlightened approach—covering everything from care coordination to clinical documentation education to marketing— ties the healthy outcomes of patients directly to shared savings for primary care providers, health systems and payors. Providers in our curated network keep their independence, reduce their administrative headaches, and spend more time with patients. Patients, in turn, get an elevated experience with coordinated care between appointments that is nothing short of life-changing. Named a 2024 "Best in Business" and 2023 "Best Place to Work" by Nashville Business Journal, we’re one of the fastest-growing healthcare companies in America because what we do works. This is the way medicine is meant to be. Clarity on the Role: We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manager, Project Management to lead strategic, high-visibility healthcare projects. This role requires deep expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and healthcare operations. The role will oversee multiple concurrent projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Job Expectations: Strategic Project Leadership, Planning and Execution: Lead large-scale, cross-functional healthcare projects from concept to completion. Develop and manage comprehensive project charters, integrated project plans, budgets, and resource strategies. Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and compliance requirements. Manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed. Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to ensure efficient project execution. Stakeholder & Executive Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for executive sponsors and senior stakeholders. Facilitate executive-level reporting and decision-making. Manage complex stakeholder dynamics and drive consensus. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal (and external, when applicable) stakeholders. Effectively communicate project progress and updates to key risks or issues on a regular basis. Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather and document requirements as well as drive and document decision-making. Project Team & Portfolio Oversight: Provide mentorship and direction to project managers, analysts, and other project-assigned cross-functional team members. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture. Resolve team conflicts and remove roadblocks to maintain project momentum. Oversee program performance and risk management. Promote best practices and continuous improvement in project delivery. Scope, Budget, and Resource Management: Define and manage project scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and cost-effectiveness. Allocate and manage resources across multiple projects, balancing priorities and capacity constraints. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, project plans, CRAID logs (change requests, risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions), communication plans, and roadmaps. Deliver executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and outcomes. Develop and implement effective change management plans to support adoption and minimize disruption. Upon project closure, capture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement. Healthcare Industry Expertise: Lead initiatives involving EHR systems, digital health, or regulatory compliance. Apply deep knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, and technologies to program and project execution. Understand and apply appropriate change management methodologies to overcome unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare industry. Ensure programs and projects align with organizational priorities and objectives, as well as healthcare compliance requirements. Requirements Requirements: Integrity: The right way is the only way. Dependability: You do what you say you’re going to do. Advocacy: You fight for the best possible outcome for providers and their patients. Clarity: You make it all understandable. Education Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Certifications PMP certification is strongly desired; Agile/Scrum certification is a plus. Years of Related Experience Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Experience with healthcare IT systems and regulatory projects (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH). Skills/Competencies/Behaviors Proven success managing enterprise-level projects and programs. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planner, or Project Online, Monday.com, Jira, Rally, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
