Job Summary The Senior Procurement Buyer is responsible for end-to-end sourcing and procurement of goods, materials, and services to meet Solstice’s operational needs. This role blends strategic sourcing with tactical execution: leading midsize negotiations and contracting, ensuring continuity of supply, and delivering total cost, quality, delivery, sustainability, and risk outcomes. The Sr Buyer partners closely with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Category Leadership Develop and execute category strategies aligned to Solstice’s business plan, including site procure plan through spend analysis, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments. Build multi-year sourcing pipelines focused on productivity, consumption reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement. Supplier Partnership & Performance Own executive-level supplier relationship management to elevate quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and innovation performance. Identify, qualify, and onboard innovative suppliers that support business growth, digitalization, and responsible sourcing. Establish and manage supplier Kaizen Business Alignment Events. Contracting, Negotiations & Compliance Execute contracts/SOWs within threshold, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Privacy as needed. Ensure 100% adherence to enterprise contracting policies and platforms (e.g., LEAP) and regulatory/commercial requirements. Mitigate risk through appropriate terms (liability, IP, data protection, export controls), and ensure documentation accuracy. Operational Excellence & Digital Tools Improve working capital via payment term optimization, inventory strategies (e.g., VMI/consignment), and lead-time reduction. Support site tactical procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting; drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions. Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Partnership Partner with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to translate requirements into sourcing strategies and executable plans. Provide data-driven recommendations that influence make/buy, NPI, dual/multi-sourcing, and lifecycle cost decisions. Communicate clearly across levels, enabling alignment and timely decision-making. Qualifications Must Have Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related). 3–5+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing for direct and/or indirect categories. Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement processes. Fluent English and strong analytical skills. We Value Experience with digital sourcing tools (eRFX, eAuctions, AI negotiation platforms), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Purchasing Modules). Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including risk and compliance awareness. Experience with sustainability, supplier diversity, and responsible sourcing initiatives. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
