Position Summary Insights, the research arm of DataSpring, manages a coordinated, evidence-driven research agenda spanning both internally identified and externally focused projects. The portfolio includes established, ongoing studies as well as new research opportunities that: Lead the industry with data-driven thought leadership and product insights Build DataSpring's authority with clinicians as a trusted, clinician-centered voice Power marketing campaigns and narratives, and DataSpring leadership speaking engagements Support internal enablement and decision-making Create demand for products and data solutions The Sr. Research Analyst plays a critical role in helping the healthcare industry measure its progress toward a more efficient and effective ecosystem. The position owns research projects end to end, with an emphasis on survey design and collection, and is responsible for turning data into clear, defensible insights that advance the research agenda. Quantitative and analytical skills are needed, with the emphasis on using them to generate meaningful insights. Beyond execution, this role serves as the bridge between tactics and strategy. Partnering closely with the Sr. Director, the Sr. Research Analyst helps translate strategic priorities into concrete research plans, then translates findings into implications leadership and industry can act on. The position leads and drafts reports and issue briefs, shapes the framing and narrative around findings, and helps identify relevant emerging questions and topics worth exploring. The Sr. Research Analyst is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Sr. Director, Insights. Specific Responsibilities Research Project Management Manage research projects from concept through publication, including scoping, work planning, timelines, and deliverables, including support of the annual Index. Design and field surveys, including draft questionnaire development, sampling and analytical approach, mode selection, and coordination of fielding logistics. Manage external vendors and partners. Monitor project risks, response rates, data quality, timeline slippage, and escalate issues early with proposed solutions. Maintain documentation of methodology, assumptions, and limitations. Analysis, Insight Generation and Reporting Clean, validate, and analyze survey and healthcare data to support the research agenda and organizational initiatives. Identify the story in the data - patterns, trends, segment differences, and year-over-year movement - and generate meaningful findings. Lead the drafting of research reports, issue briefs, and summaries for various audiences, including PowerPoint presentations. Translate research results into clear implications and recommended actions for leadership. Support marketing, product, and leadership teams with insights, data points, and content for campaigns, speaking engagements, and enablement materials. Present findings to internal stakeholders and, as appropriate, external audiences. Strategy and Agenda Development Partner with the Sr. Director to translate strategic priorities into concrete, feasible research plans. Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Business teams to align research with organizational needs. Monitor industry trends, policy developments, and stakeholder needs to identify emerging questions worth exploring. Identify opportunities to extend or refresh established studies to maintain their relevance. Skills Proven ability to oversee and manage multiple research and data collection projects. Develops and implements research designs and methodologies, including surveys, interviews, and analyses. Applied quantitative experience analyzing survey or other health care data. Quantitative and qualitative analytic capabilities to compile, distill, and interpret data. Excellent writing skills with the ability to clearly convey findings and insights to broad audiences. Ability to take complex topics and synthesize into user-friendly documents such as issue briefs, PowerPoint presentations, and annual reports to stakeholders. Interest and understanding in how research connects to organizational priorities, with the ability to anticipate how findings may be used to support decisions and strategic objectives. Understanding of healthcare administrative burden and workflows, and the key parties involved is desirable. Strong experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Working knowledge of Qualtrics is desired. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to simultaneously perform multiple assignments and follow work plans. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Desire and ability to learn new and challenging content areas. Maintains an intellectual curiosity about how to accomplish goals through industry collaboration. Experience and Education Minimum of six years of related work experience in the healthcare industry with a bachelor’s degree or minimum of four years of related work experience in the healthcare industry with a master’s degree. Proven ability to lead and manage multiple research projects involving survey data collection, including the design, execution, analysis and reporting of the research. Knowledge of healthcare administrative burden and workflows, the key parties involved, and industry dynamics is desirable. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare policy, healthcare research, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
