What We Are Looking For : The Software Development Engineer in Test is an engineer who is focused on quality. The candidate will assist us in continuous integration by championing a high level of quality in our deliverables and by developing/designing test frameworks, fixtures, and practices. What You’ll Be Doing : Testing of complex web applications and web API's Test plan creation, automation and execution Document and track program defects Participate in code reviews Provide continuous integration test support Provide guidance to the rest of the team on designing for testability Create and manage automated testing suites Create, automate, and execute test plans that generate artifacts to validate proper functioning of the app, and also provide quality-related metrics Research and apply emerging test tools, trends and methodologies Must have a passion for analysis and testing Strong technical skills and raw intellectual ability Ability to turn requirements into tests Strong organization and prioritization skills Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to adapt and learn The Skills You Bring : Cloud native technologies in AWS or Azure, including Kubernetes Broad knowledge of JavaScript both in the browser and in NodeJS Web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP, REST, WebSocket, etc.) Web application debug tools (Curl, Fiddler, Wireshark, Chrome Developer Tools, etc.) Understanding of C# and .NET & .NET Core Practical asynch programming & multithreading experience Moderate database experience (i.e. Sql Server, NoSQL, Redis) Experience testing Web sites and/or RESTful services on a Microsoft stack (ASP.NET, Javascript, JSON, HTML, IIS) One or more scripting languages suitable for automation such as Bash or Python Continuous build integration tools (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.) Familiarity with containerization software such as Docker Agile Development preferred Test Driven Development (TDD) preferred Brokerage/trading platform experience preferred Real-time low latency streaming preferred Distributed Source Control tools (Git, Mercurial) preferred Cloud architecture and deployment (AWS or Azure) preferred Multiple programming languages preferred Oauth 2.0 preferred Experience with Visual Studio preferred Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 3-5 years application testing or developing What We Offer : Collaborative work environment Competitive Salaries Yearly bonus Comprehensive benefits for you and your family starting Day 1 Unlimited Paid Time Off Flexible working environment TradeStation Account employee benefits, as well as full access to trading education materials #LI-Remote
