Overview

Job Description

• TrueML is a mission-driven financial software company focused on enhancing customer experiences for distressed borrowers through digital-first, personalized interactions.
• The Client Portal team (CLIP) is responsible for systems that provide clients with visibility and control over their account inventory, configuration settings, and operational analytics.
• Key projects include the OTP Client Portal, a unified platform replacing legacy applications, and the Entity Configuration Service, a hierarchical data store for client settings.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable, scalable frontend and backend systems for internal and external clients.
• Drive the technical roadmap for the Client Portal domain, making architectural decisions for platform consolidation.
• Own services end-to-end, including design, implementation, deployment, and on-call support.
• Build and maintain platform-level infrastructure that other domain teams depend on.
• Collaborate with other domain teams on cross-domain integration and legacy system integration.
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions as the portal grows.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to TrueML's engineering culture.
  
  

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a senior or tech lead capacity.
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Next.js.
• Experience with Go for backend services on AWS Lambda.
• Experience with AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, ECR.
• Familiarity with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Strong grasp of API design, including OpenAPI/REST contracts.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and async messaging patterns.
• Comfort working across the full stack.
• Experience operating services with high reliability requirements.
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS portals or client-facing configuration tools.
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and content pipeline architecture.
• Experience with platform migrations and hierarchical configuration systems.
• Experience with GenAI integration and OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
• Familiarity with data visualization and analytics dashboarding.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $60,000
• $90,000 a year.
