Job Description Responsible for handling the Taxation Department (both Direct & Indirect Taxes) of Commercial Real Estate developer company Proficiency in preparing Sales & Use Tax returns across multiple states and jurisdictions Coordinate with client finance teams to manage tax-related reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities Prepare and file U.S. federal and state income tax returns for branches and subsidiaries. Submit ACH and check requests for estimated payments, extensions, and other tax-related payments. Perform detailed M-1 calculations including Meals & Entertainment, UCC 263A, and other credits. Maintain and update U.S. state rate workpapers and apportionment data. Support U.S. non-quarter close and tax provision processes. Refresh LIFO calculations and submit entries for posting. Record sweeping entries, Ohio accruals, and SUT/GST payments in SAP. Support Sales & Use Tax and Property Tax information requests. Prepare returns and submit payments via ACH/check. Assist with 1042 filings and payments. Enter additions and disposals in fixed asset systems. Prepare roll-forward summary workpapers. Rollover U.S. workpapers including state property inventory and wage reports. Support tax forecasting. Rollover provision and OneStream files. Perform account reconciliations in OneStream. Monitor and respond to Tax forms email requests. Approve Coupa tax exemption certificates and invoices. Review and approve new vendor W-9 requests. Support business license renewals and Bay Minette TEC issues. Assist with BE-125 survey review and legal entity reporting (LER). Provide data and documentation for U.S. federal, state, and Canadian tax audits and controversy matters. Ability to reconcile tax accounts, validate tax data, and support in accounting treatment of indirect taxes. Support tax operations for client entities, including providing support in maintaining tax compliance calendars, ensuring timely submissions and avoiding penalties. Collaborate with client finance and operations teams to resolve tax discrepancies and improve compliance processes.
