OVERVIEW The Sr. Technical Engineer in the Capabilities team will be responsible for Planview platform enablement through defining technical architecture, configuring advanced system modules, designing solutions, and engineering secure API integrations with external platforms and data lakes. Will drive platform roadmaps and ensure the Planview ecosystem scales seamlessly to support enterprise portfolio management, resource capacity planning, and financial tracking. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Own the scalability strategy, upgrade roadmap, and platform governance for Planview Portfolios in partnership with the Tech Lead and Solution Architect. Manage Sandbox and Production environments, including configuration changes, deployments, Sandbox refreshes, and post-refresh activities. Serve as the Planview SME by guiding and mentoring administrators and system engineers on platform capabilities and best practices. Configure portfolio structures, investment strategies, fiscal periods, demand intake processes, routing rules, and approval workflows. Design and maintain integrations using Planview Portfolios REST APIs, OData feeds, OAuth2, and Planview Hub for bidirectional synchronization with Jira, ServiceNow, and Azure DevOps. Develop Python, Java, or Shell scripts to automate data transfers, maintenance activities, and backend platform configuration. Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to troubleshoot data issues and support high-performance reporting. Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, scenarios, acceptance criteria, priorities, dependencies, backlog items, and release readiness. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field Experience: 6+ years of experience in enterprise applications, platform architecture, systems integration, or technical administration . 3+ years of hands-on experience with Planview Portfolios or a comparable enterprise portfolio management platform. Knowledge of Planview Ecosystem Proven experience defining technical architecture, platform scalability, and environment strategy across enterprise systems. Strong experience designing secure integrations using REST APIs, OData feeds, OAuth2, and connecting platforms such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow. Strong scripting and database skills, including Python, Java along with advanced SQL for queries, views, and stored procedures PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Planview Portfolios administration, implementation, or technical certification. Experience with Planview Hub and bidirectional integration design across enterprise tools Knowledge of Planview’s relational data model and experience troubleshooting data issues or building reporting views. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment frameworks for enterprise SaaS or hybrid platforms. Experience building analytics and reporting solutions in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms. Proven success delivering platform upgrades, enhancements, and implementations in large, highly governed enterprise environments.
