This role is for one of Weekday’s clients Salary range: Rs 2500000 - Rs 3500000 (ie INR 25 - 35 LPA) Min Experience: 5+ years Location: India, Remote (India) JobType: full-time We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Software Engineer – Orchestration to design, develop, and maintain scalable orchestration services and backend platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in .NET and NodeJS , with a proven ability to build reliable, high-performance distributed applications and backend services. You will work closely with engineering, product, and architecture teams to design robust orchestration workflows, integrate multiple services, improve system reliability, and solve complex technical challenges. This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, ownership, and the ability to contribute to architectural and technical decisions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and orchestration frameworks using .NET and NodeJS . Build reliable APIs, microservices, workflow components, and service integrations supporting business-critical applications. Develop orchestration logic for coordinating multiple services, processes, and asynchronous workflows. Design systems that are resilient, fault-tolerant, scalable, and capable of handling high-volume workloads. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Analyze existing systems, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to application performance, reliability, and maintainability. Develop clean, modular, reusable, and well-tested code following established software engineering best practices. Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations between internal and external services. Work with databases and data-access layers to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of application data. Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best-practice initiatives. Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence. Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD practices, monitoring, logging, and overall system reliability. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards and development processes. Must-Have Skills 5–11 years of professional software development experience. Strong hands-on experience with .NET / .NET Core and modern backend application development. Strong experience with NodeJS and building scalable backend services. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed backend systems . Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, service communication, error handling, and system reliability. Experience with software architecture, design patterns, debugging, performance optimization, and writing maintainable production-grade code. Strong understanding of version control, code reviews, testing, and modern software development practices. Ability to independently own technical problems from design through implementation and production support. Good-to-Have Skills Experience working with PostgreSQL (Postgres) and designing efficient relational database schemas and queries. Hands-on experience with MongoDB / Mongo and NoSQL data modeling. Experience building applications that use both relational and NoSQL databases. Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, messaging systems, or event-driven architectures. Experience with distributed systems, workflow engines, job scheduling, or orchestration platforms. Familiarity with observability tools, logging, metrics, tracing, and production monitoring.
