Staff Accountant

This role supports the mission to Share Christ – Love People by ensuring timely completion of bank reconciliations and journal entries for month-end and year-end reporting. Responsibilities: Prepare and record journal entries in Salesforce with appropriate detail backup Perform bank reconciliations for Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hope Mountain Ranch accounts Prepare allocations for journal entry use and reconcile petty cash Produce and analyze required reports timely: may include Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Flux Analysis, various reports and other ad-hoc reporting requirements Assist with creation, maintenance, and analysis of JMM budgets Assist management: preparation for mileage booklets, annual audit, writing procedures, and complete special projects Assist with fixed assets: additions, disposals, depreciation, year-end reports & yearly inventory tracking Communicate relevant updates to Controller Assist the Finance Department with general ledger account coding, estate planning recordkeeping, and Salesforce functions Maintain personal knowledge base of current United States accounting standards Qualifications: 2-3 years relevant experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office operating environment: Excel, Word, Outlook Knowledge of Salesforce or Accounting Seed accounting system software or similar programs preferred Ability to work within all levels of the organization Ability to work quickly under pressure Precise attention to detail Handle sensitive and confidential situations Problem-solving skills Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required We’ve got you covered with perks : Mission-driven job that also pays Medical Plan with no out -of-pocket premiums Generous HSA contributions Free Dental Free long- term disability and life insurance Wholistic Wellness Program Employee Assistance Program for you and your family 403 (b) generous matching Discount on ministry resources Options to work from home with a hybrid work environment Paid time off Professional Development Tuition Reimbursement * Note : Please ensure you are utilizing the most current, updated version of your browser.
