Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable and Billing

Description Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Remote (U.S. based) FLSA Classification Exempt Orbital Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking a Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable and Billing to support billing and AR operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment application, and account reconciliation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare and process customer invoices in Deltek Vantagepoint in accordance with contract terms and company policies. Submit invoices and supporting documentation into customer-specific billing portals. Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and promptly resolve discrepancies. Monitor outstanding balances and support or lead collections efforts, as needed. Respond to internal and external billing inquiries, resolving invoice issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with project managers and operations to maintain accurate billing data. Process labor time adjustments to support accurate project cost allocation and billing. Support process improvements related to billing and accounts receivable workflows. Assist with reporting, month-end close activities, and special projects, as assigned.
