Staff Engineer

Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, and deployment of integration services. Manage end-to-end delivery life cycle including production readiness, monitoring, and support. Ensure that features and services delivered by the team meet performance, reliability, and security expectations. Design and develop Admin platform features using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices. Contribute to architectural discussions and ensure solutions follow best practices for scalability and maintainabilit Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver seamless, secure experiences Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for financial services Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in secure identity management Requirements Experience: 10+ years in the technology industry, software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java Spring or equivalent backend technologies focusing on platforms, APIs. 3+ years in technical leadership, working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design etc.). Experience designing and implementing Micro-service architecture. Deep experience designing scalable, distributed systems with high availability and performance Experience articulating NFRs and architecting the solution to meet them in conjunction with business/product and engineering teams Technical Skills: Java, Spring and Cloud development experience . Deep knowledge of API design principles (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) Familiarity with UI design systems and UI frameworks ex: React Js or Nest Js Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tools, or API lifecycle management (e.g., Postman, Apigee). Proficient in web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, Python, etc.). Familiar with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure). Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external communications. Ability to promote developer tools and act as a bridge between Candescent and developer communities. Experience with community-building, hackathons, and developer outreach programs is a plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (required). Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (optional). Why Candescent?
