Staff Engineer, ERP Workday (Financial Functional Consultant)

REQUIREMENTS: Total Experience 6 + years Strong experience in Workday Financials configuration, maintenance, and support. Hands-on functional expertise across Workday Financial Management modules. Experience configuring and maintaining Workday Financial business processes and system configurations. Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday Financial solutions. Strong understanding of Workday Financial architecture, business processes, security concepts, and configuration best practices. Experience supporting Workday Financial enhancements, releases, testing, and production support. Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver effective functional solutions. Experience developing and maintaining functional and technical documentation, including business requirements, configuration documents, test plans, and user guides. Strong understanding of Workday Financial reporting and system capabilities. Ability to ensure Workday Financial solutions align with business objectives and organizational standards. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex functional issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical and functional concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members. Experience working in Agile development and project delivery environments. Workday Financials Certification is preferred. Experience supporting enterprise-scale Workday Financial environments is a plus. Availability to work during US business hour overlap . shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST . RESPONSIBILITIES: Configure, maintain, and support Workday Financial Management modules based on business requirements. Act as the Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Financials and related business processes. Collaborate with finance teams, business stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and design effective Workday Financial solutions. Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements to maximize Workday Financial capabilities and operational efficiency. Configure and maintain Workday Financial business processes, security, and functional settings. Ensure Workday Financial solutions are aligned with organizational business needs, compliance requirements, and best practices. Lead Workday Financial enhancements, releases, testing, validation, and production support activities. Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional and system-related issues within the Workday Financial platform. Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation, including configuration documents, technical specifications, test plans, process flows, and user guides. Monitor new Workday Financial features and recommend adoption of relevant functionality and best practices. Ensure Workday solutions are delivered on time and within project timelines. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to support their technical and professional growth. Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure Workday Financial solutions align with the organization's overall technology strategy. Support Agile project delivery methodologies and participate in planning, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate functional and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
