Our Digital Experience Platform is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to drive technical strategy and architecture across multiple products and engineering teams.

This is not a traditional Senior Software Engineer role. We are looking for a highly experienced individual contributor who operates at a Staff, Principal, or Architect level and has a proven track record of shaping large-scale systems, influencing technical direction across teams, and delivering business outcomes through technology.

You will work closely with Engineering Managers, Product Leaders, and Senior Stakeholders to define architectural vision, reduce technical risk, and build scalable platforms that enable teams to move faster with confidence.

What you'll do

• Define and evolve architecture and technical direction across systems and teams
• Lead design of high-impact, cross-functional engineering initiatives
• Drive key technical decisions balancing business value, speed, and system health
• Identify and reduce systemic technical and operational risks
• Serve as escalation point for critical or high-risk technical issues
• Build shared platforms, patterns, and capabilities to scale team productivity
• Mentor engineers on system design, trade-offs, and technical decision-making
• Partner with engineering and product leaders on strategy and roadmap execution

About you

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience operating as a: Staff Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer, Software Architect, Technical Lead; Equivalent senior technical individual contributor role.
• Demonstrated ownership of architecture across multiple teams, products, or domains.
• Strong experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven ability to influence engineering decisions across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience balancing technical excellence, delivery speed, and business priorities.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
