Job Description Summary Staff Solution Consultant As a key member of the Technical Sales team, you will be responsible for communicating the value of Grid Software to prospective and existing customers through discovery sessions and the development of solutions that meet complex requirements. You will manage customer specification reviews, respond to Request for Information (RFIs), and develop budgetary proposals to support sales inquiries. In this role, you will drive improved integration between Sales, Commercial, Product Management, and Customer Solution Advisory teams to ensure technical and commercial strategies are accurately reflected in our proposals. You will also ensure that winning proposals are executed efficiently by the Project Delivery organization to improve customer experience. This role includes supporting product demonstrations, defending proposals, influencing Request for Proposals (RFPs), and shaping product roadmaps. You will be responsible for developing and utilizing new tools, processes, and standard work packages, applying Lean tools and thinking to improve organizational efficiency, accuracy, and customer focus. You will join a team of SMEs specializing in Asset Control products (Transmission and Distribution) covering the AMERICAS region primarily, with occasional support for customer opportunities in other regions. Serve as a key SME in Asset Control for Transmission and Distribution (ADMS, OMS, SCADA, or EMS). Work closely with Commercial Managers, Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Customer Service Advisory/delivery teams to drive market wins. Stay current with product capabilities and documentation. Manage customer specification reviews, proposal development, and SOW creation for complex software sales and service agreements. Ensure accurate estimates and schedules are established; in collaboration with other SME, to ensure that the Customer Solution Advisors and Project Delivery team can propose a solution and execute effectively. Act as a technical team lead on assigned opportunities to ensure the proposed solution aligns with the defined technical strategy. Continuously apply Lean principles and foster a culture of "Lean as the way we work." Support problem-solving and apply daily management to improve the new organization. Participate in customer negotiations from both functional/technical and commercial perspectives. Provide technical leadership and collaborate with Product Management to define product requirements and vision. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 7 years of technical or project management experience. Experience with EMS, SCADA, and/or ADMS, in either Engineering (R&D) or Project Delivery. Note: GE Leadership Program graduates will receive credit toward relevant work experience, commensurate with the completed program. Eligibility Requirements: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. (Sponsorship is provided). Must be willing to travel. Must be able to report to a GE Vernova office 2–3 days per week. Desired Characteristics: Background in software with expertise in EMS, DMS, OMS, ADMS, or related applications. Accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives, ensuring technical requirements and proposal activities are completed within deal creation guidelines. Prior experience in software development, implementation, or project delivery. Strong project management, verbal, written, and presentation skills. Highly organized, driven self-starter with the ability to operate independently. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to thrive in a matrix organization. Technical Expertise: Familiarity with SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), and/or Outage Management Systems (OMS). Business Acumen: Proven track record of delivering results and leading teams in a dynamic business environment. Strong customer-focus mindset with the willingness to meet tight deadlines. Leadership: General urgency in execution, a tendency toward speed, and the ability to adapt to change. Proven ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
