Role overview As our Strategic Finance lead for Capital and Debt, you will own the financing architecture that funds ai&'s global infrastructure ambitions. We are building data centers, acquiring compute at scale, and expanding across multiple markets. That requires sophisticated, well-structured capital and a person who knows how to raise it, structure it, and manage it over time. You will lead debt and capital raise processes end to end from structuring and investor outreach through negotiation and close. You will work across equity, debt, project finance, and infrastructure financing structures, engaging banks, institutional investors, development finance institutions, and strategic partners. You will work closely with the Finance Controller and leadership to ensure our capital strategy is aligned with our infrastructure roadmap and our operational reality. Responsibilities Capital Raise & Debt Structuring Lead equity and debt raise processes end to end. Structure financing instruments appropriate for data center infrastructure and compute acquisition including project finance, asset-backed structures, revolving facilities, and strategic equity. Investor & Lender Relations Build and manage relationships with banks, institutional lenders, infrastructure funds, development finance institutions, and strategic investors. Own the process from initial outreach through term sheet, due diligence, and close. Financial Modeling & Deal Structuring Build and maintain the financial models that underpin capital raise processes. Model unit economics, returns, leverage profiles, and sensitivity analyses that support investor and lender decision-making. Infrastructure Finance Strategy Work with leadership to define the capital strategy for ai&'s data center and compute expansion. Align financing structures with the physical infrastructure roadmap, ensuring we are always capitalized ahead of deployment. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with the Finance Controller, data center, legal, and operations teams to ensure all capital transactions are executed cleanly and all representations are accurate. You may be a fit if you have the following skills Capital Markets & Debt Experience Proven experience raising debt or equity capital for infrastructure, technology, or real assets. You have closed deals and you understand what lenders and investors need to get comfortable. Infrastructure or Project Finance Knowledge Familiarity with project finance, asset-backed lending, and the financing structures used in data center, energy, or physical infrastructure businesses. Financial Modeling Depth Strong financial modeling skills. You can build the models that support a capital raise from scratch and defend them in front of sophisticated counterparties. Japan Market Familiarity Understanding of the Japanese capital markets, banking relationships, and the regulatory environment for raising capital in Japan is a strong signal. Bilingual Fluency Professional fluency in Japanese and English is strongly preferred.
