JOIN THE TEAM COMMITTED TO DRIVING YOUR CAREER FORWARD Job Type: Full time Exempt/Non Exempt: Salary Job Description: Strategic Sourcing Specialist – The Auto Club Group What you will do: Provides support for defined sourcing categories/commodities aligned with business lines and inter-club organizations. Provides support for strategic sourcing and supply chain requirements that ensure competitive solutions that provide the greatest competitive value for the enterprise. Acts as a liaison with all clubs and departments within the Auto Club Group (ACG) in order to facilitate the procurement and deployment of necessary goods and services at the optimal economic value for ACG. Supports the development, implementation and on-going management of change between the strategic sourcing and supply chain (procurement) organization and internal client organizations. Assists management with strategic procurement planning to ensure ACG business goals are met. Supports the development of strategic roadmaps aligned to business requirements, ensuring best practices and competitive advantage solutions are utilized. Assists management in the development and manages the process for supplier performance management, RFx development and execution and contract negotiation and implementation, ensuring department and corporate compliance standards are met. Supports partnership opportunities with the AAA federation of clubs including AAA National and external organizations in order to gain leveraging opportunities for ACG. Supports the department ombudsman process in order to provide timely resolutions to problems and client complaints, ensuring department quality service objectives are met. Experience: Project planning Identifying, analyzing and resolving moderately complex problems Resolving changes in scope, timing, costs, quality and client satisfaction Supporting and contributing transformational level change within a procurement organization Involved in supporting a highly rationalized and diverse supply base optimized to business needs Supporting strategic sourcing initiatives across a series of spend categories Supplier development and contract negotiation Developing cost/benefit analyses Writing bid proposals with analytical evaluation capability Goal setting, decision making and conflict resolution Willing to travel as required to meet business needs Organizing, monitoring and reporting projects Coordinating support activities provided by multiple off-site suppliers and internal clients Customer care and satisfaction Knowledge: Trends and emerging technologies/services across assigned ACG procurement categories Best-in-class procurement transformational trends and traditional processes Acquisition principals and nomenclature Business process and technology solutions supporting internal clients, suppliers and department Negotiation techniques Basic auditing theory Statistical methods and analysis Supplier diversity and strategic importance Skills: Support demand management objectives Communicate effectively Provide competitive solutions in support of business objectives Multitask or perform a variety of concurrent activities Explore alternative approaches/innovations to strategic sourcing and supply chain activities Negotiate and implement supplier contracts Ability to manage supplier performance to ensure optimal results Work under tight schedules and deadlines Strong oral and written communication skills to include report/proposal preparation and presentations to middle level management and external contacts Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor degree and/or professional certifications preferred (e.g., Accredited Purchasing Practitioner, CPM). Experience: In a variety of industry segments Broad procurement background with strong focus in non-production (indirect) procurement in an individual contributor/leadership capacity Work Environment This is a hybrid work arrangement (time spent in office and remote). Depending on the employee's role and leadership's assessment, some employees will come in to an ACG facility on a weekly basis, a monthly basis, or on an "as needed" basis for key meetings and collaborative activities.
