As Strategy Manager , you will be responsible for managing the process through which the Company decides on long term direction and sets strategic goals to help the Company maintain and increase its competitive advantage. You will contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the AP Business Groups, Business Units, and Corporate Service units to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Managing the process for developing, aligning, documenting, and monitoring strategies. Modelling and forecasting long term market. Gathering and analyzing information on industry and competition, locally and abroad. Developing feasibility studies for new business models and projects. Monitoring potential industry disruptors (technology, legal, political). Assessing and recommending investment in venture capital opportunities. Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities: Developing and Aligning Strategies Manages the process for developing, documenting, and monitoring company strategy. Analyzes new business models and projects. Provides insight and suggestions for significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers, and acquisitions). Conducts research in support of strategy development or strategic initiatives. Long Term Market Modelling and Forecasting Performs medium (3-5 years) to long term (more than 5 years) financial or mathematical market modelling and electricity market price forecasting, taking into consideration changes in: Broader environment, e.g. Philippine economy, oil and other fuel price trends, technology (evolution). Industry dynamics and rule changes. Competition, e.g., changes in offering behavior, new investments, partnerships in order to: Provide AP/AEV Business Development team the longterm forecast which is a ninput in the assessment of projects Quanitfy the risks and value opportunities in the medium to long term Aid in the decision to build, buy, or divest assets Understanding Competition In coordination with AP Accounting team, provides regular analysis of the financial position of key competition. Probes opportunities of acquisition especially on small players who are at risk of bankruptcy or financial failure identifies competitor actions that may pose risks/opportunities for AboitizPower. Probing Venture Capital Opportunities Performs due diligence on potential business investments. Quantifies risks and weights potential gains versus pitfalls. Provides options and steers the Company to making effective venture capital decisions. To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Marketing or any 4-year related course Master's degree, an advantage At least 3 years combined experience in strategic planning and business process management; experience in electricity market modelling using forecast tools (e.g. EMCAS, Marketsym, Aurora, Plexos), preferred Background in new and emerging energy types and technology, preferred Preferred Qualifications: Strategic planning Business process Statistical tools and modelling Risk management Business acumen Financial analysis Our Culture & Commitment to You: Powering Your Future At AboitizPower, we honor you not just as a professional, but as a person.
