Student Worker, Information Security – Incident Response

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Student Worker, Information Security – Incident Response role will make an impact: Key responsibilities for this role include: Support initiatives including, security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, and threat hunting. Contribute to the development and refinement of incident response playbooks, checklists, and standard operating procedures to improve team readiness. Identification of gaps in security controls and recommendation of solutions to remediate or mitigate identified gaps. Performing analysis of security events utilizing a range of security and analysis tools, including gathering evidence, documenting findings, and helping reconstruct attack timelines. Collaborating closely with teams within Information Security as well as other business units including Global Information Technology, The minimum qualifications for this role are: The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their sophomore year and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in (Computer Science, Computing & Information Science, Information Studies) degree program (i.e., or a related field of study). A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Must possess knowledge in 1 or more of the following: security operations, incident response, threat hunting, threat intelligence. Knowledge of scripting: PowerShell or Python. Experience utilizing the following Microsoft tooling: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Power Automate. Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is: If Pursing Bachelors = $20 hour, If Pursing Masters = $25 hour, If Pursing Doctorate = $30 hour.
