Who you are: The Study Abroad Advisor serves as the primary subject matter expert for Global Navigator High School Study Abroad destinations, supporting students, families, Sales staff, and international colleagues throughout the pre-departure process. This role ensures students, families, and the sales team receive accurate guidance regarding destination requirements, program expectations, and readiness milestones while partnering with Sales Operations on related processes and workflows. Working closely with Sales, Global Operations, International Staff, and other cross-functional teams, the Study Abroad Advisor provides destination expertise, program-specific support, and delivers internal training and guidance to promote consistent communication and accurate expectation setting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex processes in a fast-paced, global environment. What you’ll do : Destination Expertise & Advising: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for assigned countries and program locations; provide guidance to Sales staff, students, and families on program logistics, housing, school enrollment, cultural considerations, and pre-departure requirements. Visa & Enrollment Support: Maintain expertise in country-specific visa and immigration requirements; Advise Sales staff, students, and families on country-specific visa and immigration requirements; maintain current knowledge of changing regulations; review enrollment and visa documentation for accuracy and completeness; communicate updates and requirements to students, families, and the sales team. Student Readiness & Orientation Coordination: Support student readiness by monitoring pre-departure requirements and coordinating online orientations, including scheduling, communications, resource distribution, and recording management. Communications & Knowledge Management: Develop, review, and maintain country-specific communications, email templates, visa instructions, external guides, and internal resources to ensure accurate, consistent information across teams and customer touchpoints. Manage complex pre-departure questions with professionalism and sound judgment, collaborating with Sales and International Staff to resolve issues efficiently and provide exceptional customer service and address program-specific questions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between International Staff and High School teams, gathering and translating program-specific information to support accurate customer communications, expectation setting, and student readiness. Collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, Global Operations, and international colleagues to address program-specific questions, communicate student needs, and ensure alignment between customer expectations and program delivery. Process Improvement & Knowledge Management: Regularly review procedures, student feedback, and operational workflows to identify opportunities for improvement; recommend updates to documentation, communications, and internal processes that enhance the student experience. Operational Support: Participate in annual in-person trainings and ongoing professional development; provide operational support during travel weekends in the summer and peak program periods, including occasional evening, weekend, and travel responsibilities as needed; perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll bring: The ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of t wo or more years of professional experience in advising, program coordination, education, study abroad, or administrative support. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to research, interpret, and communicate visa and immigration requirements. Experience creating and maintaining customer-facing resources, guides, or procedural documentation. Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural teams and international colleagues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM or student information systems preferred. International travel, study abroad, or experience living abroad preferred. Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
