Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced subject matter expert (SME) to support content updates, revisions, and quality assurance for digital assets.

• Project Start Date: September
• Preferred Location: South Africa (Remote)
• Target Audience/Curriculum Focus: US undergraduate anatomy & physiology

Scope of Work & Deliverables

The SME will handle content updates, revisions, quality reviews, and accuracy checks across the following digital asset types:

1. Mastering digital assets: Comprehensive content updating and accuracy review for core digital courseware.
2. Art labeling activities: Full content update and review for interactive diagram/art labeling tasks.
3. Art-based questions: Content revision and quality assurance for visual assessment questions.
4. Pre-lab unit quizzes: Content update, revision, and accuracy review.
5. Post-lab activity quizzes: Content update, revision, and accuracy review.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s or PhD degree in Anatomy, Physiology, or a closely related biological science field required.
• Teaching experience: Currently teaching or has taught undergraduate anatomy and physiology within the last 1–2 years (ideally within or aligned with the US higher education system).
• Subject expertise: Exceptional knowledge of scientific concepts, laboratory practices, and visual/art-based assessment tools.
• Attention to detail: Proven track record in editorial accuracy, fact-checking, and digital content development.
