This role is responsible for establishing and driving QA standards, methodologies, testing strategies, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure technology solutions meet business requirements, operational objectives, regulatory expectations, and user experience standards. The IT QA Supervisor manages and develops a team of QA professionals, providing leadership, coaching, performance management, and career development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and quality excellence. They oversee test planning, resource allocation, environment readiness, defect management, risk assessment, release quality reviews, and test automation adoption to ensure efficient and effective delivery of technology solutions. Partnering closely with business teams, product teams, development teams, architects, delivery leads, and third-party vendors, the IT QA Supervisor ensures quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. This role proactively identifies quality risks, drives resolution of complex issues, establishes meaningful quality metrics and reporting, and provides actionable insights to leadership to support informed decision-making. Associate Responsibilities • Define, implement, and evolve enterprise QA strategies, testing methodologies, frameworks, and quality standards across Carhartt's consumer-facing and business applications. • Provide leadership and oversight for functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, accessibility, security, and user acceptance testing activities. • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes, governance models, testing standards, and best practices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality technology solutions. • Partner with Product, Business, Development, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Delivery teams to align quality objectives with business priorities and strategic goals. • Review and approve test strategies, test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, and quality deliverables to ensure completeness, consistency, and effectiveness. • Drive the adoption and maturation of test automation, continuous testing, and quality engineering practices to improve efficiency, scalability, and test coverage. • Oversee defect lifecycle management, including defect tracking, prioritization, root cause analysis, escalation, and resolution activities. • Establish, monitor, and communicate quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), including defect trends, test effectiveness, automation coverage, release readiness, and overall product quality. • Provide quality risk assessments and deployment recommendations to support informed release and production readiness decisions. • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, security policies, audit controls, and technology governance processes. • Coordinate quality assurance activities across multiple projects, programs, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure successful execution and alignment with business objectives. • Develop and implement best practices that improve reliability, scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency across Carhartt's technology landscape. • Lead organizational change initiatives within the QA function to support business growth, technology transformation, and evolving delivery models. • Build and sustain a proactive, data-driven quality culture by aligning resources, optimizing processes, introducing operational efficiencies, and leveraging analytics to drive decision-making. • Identify quality, delivery, operational, and technical risks proactively and implement mitigation and contingency plans to minimize business impact. • Continuously evaluate and enhance QA tools, technologies, processes, and methodologies to improve testing effectiveness and delivery outcomes. • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop QA team members through performance management, career development planning, knowledge sharing, and succession planning activities. • Manage QA planning, workload prioritization, capacity forecasting to ensure effective support of business initiatives. Required Education • Bachelor’s degree in information technology discipline or equivalent work experience Required Skills & Experience • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in a related field including the following: o 2–3 years of demonstrated experience leading technical teams and/or managing projects, including QA planning, work prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and successful delivery of quality outcomes. o 5+ years of hands-on experience as a QA Specialist or Senior QA Specialist, leading quality assurance activities across the software development lifecycle, including test planning, execution, defect management, and process improvement. • Strong to excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA processes, quality standards, and testing governance practices. • Strong to excellent experience with test automation tools and frameworks, including tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar technologies. • Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and continuous testing practices. • Exceptional demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and manage QA professionals while fostering a high-performance team culture. • Strong to excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Strong experience with test management, defect tracking, and reporting tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms. • Exceptional demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and allocate resources across multiple initiatives. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to tailor complex technical information to diverse audiences. • Strong to excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across business and technology organizations. • Demonstrated ability to remain assertive, decisive, and effective during high-pressure or production-impacting situations. • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, coaching, and questioning skills. • Strong to excellent documentation, reporting, and quality metrics management skills. • Exceptional customer service orientation with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and end users. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft 365 services, Windows platforms, and related end-user technologies. • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, establish testing standards, and ensure consistent quality outcomes across teams. • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, processes, and supporting tools. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Job Profile • Normal office environment. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required. • Work hours determined by Manager. Willing to work weekends, as necessary. • On call as needed (24hours/7 days). • Ability to travel when needed. • This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site.
