About the Role The Supervisor Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager in achieving operational objectives for the SelectRx division. This role involves contributing to the effective management and support of the pharmacy staff encompassing both internal and external functions. The role is responsible for interpreting and enforcing the policies and procedures of the Pharmacy Department ensuring compliance with all Federal State and local regulations.The Supervisor Pharmacist is expected to ensure customer satisfaction through the prompt and accurate processing of prescriptions addressing customer inquiries and concerns and promoting a positive image of SelectRx within the local communities. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and support departmental personnel including orientation training and monitoring in collaboration with department trainers. Ensures that trainees acquire the requisite knowledge and skill set to perform daily duties effectively. Determine workload delegate assignments and manage scheduling. Conduct performance evaluations (annually or as needed in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager). Support the execution of corrective and disciplinary actions. Participate in interviewing and candidate evaluation providing recommendations for hiring promotion or discipline of current associates. Fosters a supportive environment that encourages, enables, empowers, and equips pharmacists and support staff. Serve as a mentor for department leads Subject matter expert for the assigned area Manages workflow received through various platforms utilized by their respective teams including but not limited to the prescription management system(s), CRM, Smartsheets, Atlas, SMS messaging platform, Five9 Processes prescriptions tickets inbound and outbound phone calls and other assigned team specific tasks with accuracy and expediency. Monitors timelines and ensures the team is meeting expectations Assigns specific accounts or roles/assignments to optimize workflow and prescription sequencing based on daily order cut-off times and delivery schedules. Supports resolution of prescription related issues requiring pharmacist intervention Additional tasks may be assigned by the department manager Implement and ensure adherence to all SelectRx policies and procedures. Maintain operations within professional standards and comply with Federal State Local and Business regulations actively enforcing pharmacy laws. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards. Provides support to resolve pharmacist specific topics following established guidelines. Coordinates with other teams and management to resolve operational issues. Identifies errors and implements appropriate procedures for resolution. Assigns specific accounts or roles/assignments to optimize workflow and prescription sequencing based on daily order cut-off times and delivery schedules. Advises management on issues pertaining to the pharmacist and any assigned support staff. Consults with data processing personnel to identify methods for expediting workflow and enhancing productivity. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. Coordinate and implement teamwork initiatives. Support departmental quality improvement efforts. Respond promptly to patient needs and solicit customer feedback to enhance service. Processes prescriptions tickets inbound and outbound phone calls and other assigned team-specific tasks with accuracy and expediency as needed. Develops and presents team quality improvements monitoring and key performance indicators. Participate actively in team meetings. Speak clearly and persuasively in all situations (positive and negative). Effectively balance individual and team responsibilities. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience is preferred. 1 year of prior leadership experience preferred For transition from onsite to remote: 1 year employment onsite required Remote positions: 6 months in current remote role required Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Active Pharmacist license in good standing is required. Physical Requirements: Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
