As a Sr Supplier Development Engineer within the Integrated Supply Chain Supplier Readiness casting and forgings organization here at Honeywell, you will lead and manage advanced manufacturing operations to drive operational excellence, process optimization, and innovation in our manufacturing processes. You will report directly to our Director Supplier Development Engineer, and you’ll work out of our Greer, SC location on a remote work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company by developing and implementing advanced manufacturing strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, improve product quality, and drive cost efficiencies within our external casting and forging supply chain. YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics Extensive experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization with 3+ years of experience working in casting manufacturing Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing Proven track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements Excellent leadership and people management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Must have experience working with Investment casting, Sand casting, Single crystal, Directionally solidified, Equiaxed, Ceramic core, Permanent mold, Inconel Must have deep knowledge of investment casting and the associated manufacturing processes . WE VALUE Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or related field 10+ years of manufacturing experience in castings (sand, investment, fine grain, cored, aluminum, magnesium, Inconel, stainless steel, iron, titanium, etc) Tier 1 or 2 aerospace, industrial gas turbine or automotive supply chain experience Expertise in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes Ability to think strategically and drive change in a dynamic environment Strong project management skills Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in advanced manufacturing Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers ABOUT HONEYWELL AEROSPACE Join a company that's reintroducing itself to the aviation community we've helped advance for more than a century. THE BUSINESS UNIT Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems, mechanical components, and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds, an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
