Supplier Development Specialist - C&I, Construction Industry

This role sits within a leading company in the construction and installation sector, dedicated to driving operational excellence and fostering strong supplier relationships. The position plays a key part in supporting the organization’s mission to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency across its supply chain, ensuring continuous improvement and effective collaboration with both internal teams and external partners.

• The client is in Germany, the role is remote
• The contract is B2B - 18 months initial duration + extensions
• Travel to North Germany occasionally required (short trips)
• German language is a huge plus (even A1)

Responsibilities:

• Evaluating and monitoring the performance of suppliers and subcontractors based on defined KPIs and scorecards
• Identifying improvement potential through the analysis of performance data
• Developing and implementing measures for continuous performance improvement in collaboration with suppliers
• Tracking and documenting improvement measures and their effectiveness
• Working closely with internal departments such as Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Project Management
• Supporting the development and implementation of standards and processes for supplier development
• Facilitating regular review meetings with suppliers to discuss performance and improvements
• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and compliance requirements along the supply chain
• Assisting with audits and on-site supplier assessments
• Fostering collaborative partnerships and communication with all relevant stakeholders

Required skills:

• Experience in supplier development or supplier management
• Knowledge of process optimization and continuous improvement
• Experience working with KPIs, scorecards, and performance data
• Analytical and conceptual skills
• Experience in project management or operational excellence
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Business-fluent English skills (at least B2 level)
• Ability to identify and implement improvement potential
• Strong teamwork skills and assertiveness
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant analytical tools
