Supplier Quality Manager Working within the Quality Department, the Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for supplier-facing processes to ensure that SCOPE’s suppliers are properly qualified and managed. This is a remote position requiring regular global travel. The post holder should be comfortable travelling internationally for up to 50% of their time. Please note, we are open to candidates located in the UK, IRL and the USA. Key Responsibilities · Lead the compliant and efficient operation of the following systems / processes: o Supplier Qualification o Supplier Management o Supplier Auditing o Development of Quality Technical Agreements with suppliers and customers o Supplier Corrective Actions (SCAR) · Support the wider Quality function to ensure compliant and efficient operation of wider QMS systems and processes. · Promote a culture of continual improvement within the team and wider company by: o Championing root cause analysis and use of appropriate risk management tools throughout all activities. o Coaching others to help them understand how their day-to-day activities relate to the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives. o Ensuring that all processes and working practices within your area of responsibility are constantly reviewed and any compliance or efficiency improvements are implemented in a timely fashion proportional to the risks identified. o Ensure all procedures relating to the systems you are responsible for are kept up-to-date and reflect both internal and external best practices. · Support the wider Quality function by: o Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice and other relevant guidelines and legal obligations. o Supporting team members to develop their skills and functional expertise. · Ensure delivery of activities within your area of responsibility to ensure customer and business targets are met. · Act as a peer reviewer to check and approve work generated within your own and the wider quality team. o Ensure any corrections or errors are fed back to the author of the work in a constructive manner with a view to preventing recurrence. · Act as a functional trainer within the wider team. Key Performance Indicators · All Quality Objectives are consistently met for all processes and systems within your area of responsibility, o Rapid and appropriate corrective actions taken to address any drift from Quality Objective targets, o Evidence of evolution of processes to meet current best practice and increase efficiency. · No avoidable or repeat incidents / deviations associated with processes and systems within your area of responsibility. · Processes are operated to meet business and customer expectations and targets. · Performance and contribution are regularly reviewed, with appropriate action taken to recognise good performance and correct areas requiring development. Qualifications Essential : Experience of carrying out supplier audits in at least one regulated industry (e.g. medicines or medical devices. Cosmetics and/or food supplement auditing may also be considered with extensive experience) Desirable: Experience of carrying out supplier audits in multiple regulated industries (e.g. medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, food supplements), Experience of delivering and managing Critical/Major audit findings, Experience of negotiating Quality Technical Agreements or similar contractual documents with third parties, Experience of quality supplier liaison/management. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience Key Capabilities Excellent attention to detail, Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, Detailed knowledge of root cause analysis and risk management tools and their application, Good understanding of applicable regulations, standards and best practices, Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, Good numerical skills and the ability to handle and analyse data, Sound knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Minitab), The ability to present complex information (both internally and externally) to diverse audiences and levels of understanding, Planning and project management skills, Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
